How to Use the BMW Bluetooth Module
by Wayne Hemrick
Many BMW owners who wind up having to use their cell phones while driving will benefit tremendously from installing a BMW Bluetooth module
from Bavarian Soundwerks. A BMW Bluetooth module will add value, functionality, and above all, safety to your vehicle.
Has This Happened to You?
In 2005, a woman in Portland, Oregon was chatting on her cell phone while driving across one of that city's many bridges. She was so distracted
that she lost control of the vehicle, broke through the guardrail and plummeted 60 feet into the Willamette River, where she and her vehicle sank
under 55 feet of water. Amazingly, she survived with only minor cuts and bruises.
A man in Indianapolis, Indiana was not so lucky. While talking on his cell phone, he missed a stop sign. He was broadsided by a dump truck and
killed instantly. Ironically, he had been talking to a funeral director, making arrangements for his brother who had died similarly the day before,
running a red light as he was using a cell phone while trying to drive.
These incidents illustrate the best reason to install a BMW Bluetooth module in your vehicle.
Safety and Convenience
A BMW Bluetooth module uses technology that is an outgrowth of radio. Using low-band, unlicensed frequencies, Bluetooth protocols allow an
astonishing array of digital devices from personal computers to cell phones and even game consoles to communicate with one another securely
over short distances (under 100 meters). This makes it ideal for integrating your cell phone with your BMW vehicle's sound system.
Installing a BMW Bluetooth module allows you to access your cell phone using the buttons on your steering wheel. Data (such as phone numbers)
can be displayed on the instrument panel, and you can receive incoming calls over your OEM radio. Voice command allows you to dial the
number you want to call by simply speaking the numbers or, if you've programmed it, the name of the party you're trying to reach.
Once your BMW Bluetooth module is installed and you have a compatible headset, you'll enjoy the convenience and safety of hands-
offoperation. You won't have to take your eyes off the road nor remove your hands from the steering wheel.
Even More Features
What's even better about Bavarian Soundwerk's BMW Bluetooth module is that your cell phone will automatically interrupt any programming that
may be playing on the radio you won't need to worry about missed calls.
The BMW Bluetooth module is easy to install and inexpensive to own. It will add tremendous value and functionality to your vehicle while allowing
you to use your cell phone in the car in greater safety. See for yourself by getting your BMW Bluetooth module today.

Honda's Home Hydrogen Fueling Station
Honda's Home Hydrogen Fueling Station
Yes, hydrogen powered vehicles emits water vapor giving the best environment-friendly car option there is. But due to limited hydrogen fueling stations, many consumers might resist the idea of being green drivers as well. But once again, Honda Motor Co. is playing the role of a problem solver as the Japanese automaker introduces an innovative and convenient home hydrogen fueling station called Home Energy Station IV.
A hydrogen fuel cell vehicle to be marketed in 2008 is presently in Honda's action plan. To lure prospective hydrogen vehicle owners, Honda will introduce fueling options that can be done in the home of consumers. Because green technology is the present trend in the automotive realm, automakers are struggling to create hydrogen versions of their vehicle models but one of the greatest obstacles is insufficient hydrogen fuel supply.
Meanwhile, because of less hydrogen fuel demands, automakers are also halting hydrogen fuel distribution. With the Home Energy Station IV, Honda is addressing the problems of both the consumers and automakers being the sole solution.
The energy station unit is first placed outside the home; hydrogen fuel will be created via a device that converts the home's own supply of natural gas to hydrogen. The hydrogen produced now will provide power useful for both the car and the home.
When the hydrogen fuel is already produced, it will be directed to a fuel cell stack to generate electric power. If not needed, the home fuel station can refine, compress and store up to 132 liters of hydrogen for future use.
Average sized homes can greatly benefit from the Home Energy Station IV by providing sufficient hot water, electricity and heat. If consumers decide to use this energy producing alternative, the conventional energy producing methods cost can be greatly reduced by 50 percent.
Honda estimates the energy unit station to be worth $500 when the automaker sells it to the market along with its other products like the Acura Cl clutch. But consumers can quickly regain the worth of the unit itself with the savings they get annually with energy cost discounts and having no need to drive to hydrogen fueling stations to fill up their vehicles.
Carbon dioxide emission is greatly reduced when cars are powered by hydrogen upgrading green technology to another level. Another thing is, Hydrogen in fuel stations are produced by burning fossil fuels and with the Home Energy Station IV's method of producing hydrogen, it is more environment friendly.

Car Vehicle Online Auction

Car Vehicle Online Auction
by Robert Riles
Online car auction websites are a great way of finding a bargain car while sitting comfortably in front your computer. It is amazing how many car deals are closed every day, again through online car auction venues. So if you are after your new vehicle, try it. Moreover online car auction sites are a great way to sell your car.
The first question on your mind is may be how to find a good online vehicle auction website. Well, just go to your favorite search engine and type online car auction. That should get you thousands of results. Be careful though which online vehicle auction you will be browsing or buying/selling your car at. Try to narrow your selection to a few sites that look professional, respectable and have a good testimonials record.
The next step will depend on your idea do you want to sell your vehicle or to look for a car.
If you are looking to sell you vehicle than check what the site has to offer how many photos of the car you can submit, what information is allowed to be submitted, what are the fees involved. There are sites that will offer you free advertising but will ask for a percentage of the selling price. Other online car auction sites will have certain advertising fees that might depend on the cars value or on the advertising period.
Another thing to consider is if you would like an online car auction company that will actually buy your vehicle and will market it later. This might bring you less profit than selling your car on your own but it will save you a lot of hassle. In fact once you sell them the car it is no longer your worry who or when will buy it.
If you are a vehicle buyer the rules are pretty much the same. Try to pick up a site that looks respectable enough. Than set a budget and find, the best car within your money frame. Once you have found a few cars, negotiate with the buyer. The fact that this is an online car auction venue does not mean that you have to agree on the first price asked.
With money matters handled it is best to see and test-drive the car before signing up the papers. If this is not possible, than ask for all information that you need to make sure you are really buying a good quality car. It is a good idea to perform a vehicle check as well. Just for additional piece of mind to make sure that there are no unpaid bills, insurance problems or the car being reported as stolen. The good news is that all these checks can be done online as well.

Bad Credit Car Finance - buy a car without credit fears
Bad Credit Car Finance - buy a car without credit fears
by John Marshall
You should not be overtly worried about your past payment mistakes while you are thinking of buying a car. The loan market place has plenty of loan opportunity to explore. You can opt for bad credit car finance, which offers the financial assistance to all those people who are having late payments, arrears, payment defaults, CCJs or IVAs like credit woes. They are able to make substantial improvements in their credit rating also after making timely repayments towards the finance.
Bad credit history people can borrow the finance in secured or unsecured options. It is much easier to take a loan against your valued property like home or you can even use the very car you are buying, as collateral of the loan. The lender will take in his possession the car deal papers, till you return the loan completely. You can drive the car during the loan period. The advantage is that despite credit problems, you can locate a loan at comparatively lower rate of interest.
If you require smaller finance, then you can go for the unsecured option. But be prepared for paying interest at higher rate. The loan repayment duration of both secured and unsecured finance is kept shorter in the range of 5 -7 years.
You can use down payment, which you are supposed to make to the lender as a tool for ensuring car finance. Lenders want to make the loan safer through taking the down payment. This implies that if you can make high amount of down payment, then, besides an easier approval, the loan may come at lower rate of interest as well.
Make an extensive search for bad credit car finance on internet. You will find numbers of online lenders, claiming to be having suitable deal. Apply for their rate quotes and compare them, before settling for a lender. Ensure repaying the loan in time, so that you do not fall into another debt.

Champ Car Atlantics newest additions

Champ Car Atlantics newest additions
by Tomas Rotelli
Looks like John Edwards and the rest of the Atlantic field will have their work cut out for them next year as the Champ Car Atlantics will see an influx of European talent once again competing in the premier Open Wheel racing series.
Walker Racing has just announced the addition of the Mansell brothers to his 2008 Atlantic line-up which also features Canadian Kevin Lacroix. Yes, that's right, that's Mansell as in sons of 1992 Formula 1 and 1993 CART champion Nigel Mansell.
Greg and Leo Mansell will cross the pond to make their stateside debut in the Atlantic championship after having spent the previous two seasons racing in Europe. The past two years the brothers Mansell have contested the Formula BMW UK and British Formula 3 International series, which Greg finished tenth overall in.
Greg at 19 is the younger of the two brothers, while Leo is 22 and the brothers along with their dad see this as the next step up the ladder in their pursuits of Open Wheel racing.
Teamate Lacroix, in his sophomore season, won last year at rain soaked Portland in only his second series start. So the potential for results seem apparent, although the team will still have to beat the mighty Sierra Sierra and Forsythe teams.
Meanwhile John Edwards teammate, Canadian Robert Wickens has just made his A1 GP debut in Malaysia. Wickens aquitted himself well by finishing on the podium in third place during the Sprint race, which was his very first outing behind the wheel of the Team Canada entry.
Currently a total of three Atlantic standouts are on A1 GP team rosters, along with Indy Pro Series competitor Arie Luyendyk Jr. as part of Team Netherlands.
Team Canada's primary driver is James Hinchcliffe with Wickens alongside, While Team Brazil has defending champion Rafael Matos listed as one of its drivers, although Matos is keen to take his $2 million prize check to Champ Car for the upcoming season, in hopes of landing a ride in the shrinking Champ Car driver market...

Auto Shoppers Check Cars Online

Auto Shoppers Check Cars Online
by Anthony Fontanelle
Auto shopping is not that tedious and complicated anymore. With just few clicks on the mouse, the most adored car will be checked. True, automakers and dealerships should not make things complicated. This trend paved the way for the booming online shopping industry.
One of the many web sites which has benefited from the trend is Edmunds.com. Of all the people who shop for new wheels on the Internet, about one-fourth of the potential buyers check out the goods first at the Web site Edmunds.com, an auto information clearinghouse based in Santa Monica, Calif., The Courier-Journal reported.
Among the 20 cars, trucks, minivans and SUVs in 2007 that most captured the imagination, only two were related to a domestic automaker, the report said. The Mazda3, the affordable, sport performance car for the younger set, is part of the Ford lineup. The GMC Acadia is General Motors Corp.'s new CUV that gets 24 miles per gallon on the freeway but can still tow a 5,000-pound trailer.
Auto shoppers continue to reflect preferences for reliable compact vehicles such as Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Acura MDX and Infiniti G35. Take in a vehicle on Edmunds.com and you can find expert ratings, compare prices, check out resale values, or search for a used version of the car you want. "We attract people who like to be informed," Edmunds spokeswoman Jeannine Fallon said. "They want to make sure they are making a smart choice."
The maker of the Acura axle assembly could be very pleased to make it to the list. Separately, a number of best-sellers, like the Ford F-150, are not on the list, perhaps because hard-core Ford fans know exactly what they want in their truck and don't feel called to dink around a Web site. F-150 buyers "don't need to do a lot of research," Fallon said.
Among top ten cars, the Toyota Camry came in third after the Honda Civic and the Honda Accord. The Camry, the best-selling car in the country, which is made in Georgetown, Ky, "suggests reliability and long-term value," Fallon said. "Even though Camry has such a great reputation, it is still something people want to research."
While Toyota and Honda will move an estimated 400,000 Camrys and Accords each this year, Mazda only expects to sell 120,000 Mazda3 cars in 2007, said company spokesman Jeremy Barnes. Like its more stodgy Japanese-made competition, the Mazda is affordable, powerful and reliable. But the Mazda3's looks sound a siren call to the young and young at heart, he noted.
According to JD Power & Associates, Mazda has the "second youngest buyer age in the auto industry," after Toyota's Scion brand, Barnes said. "You don't have to be young," he added of the brand that includes the Miata. "You just have to feel young."
"It is rare you see a (child's) car seat in the back of a Mazda3 when they are in the shop," said Joe Trout, a Mazda specialist and owner of the Dr. Zoom garage in Fern Creek. "The driver of this car is between 20 and 35, definitely not your mom-and-dad type."
Sixty-eight year old Prentice Short of Scottsburg, Ind., would like to get into a new Camry to make vacation trips to Florida with his wife, Geraldine, affordable again. Trouble is, Short said, he can't find a buyer willing to pay the $12,000 or so he says his 2002 Jeep Cherokee is worth. The Jeep has logged only 50,000 miles but gets only 18 miles per gallon on the highway.
"Nobody wants these things that use all kinds of fuel," he concluded. "Whoever comes up with the best mileage in late 2008 or 2009 is going to be the ones that dominate the market," Short predicted. "If Ford, Chrysler and GM don't do it, they'll get their lunch eaten, and their dinner eaten, too."

Designing the cars

Designing the cars
by Robert Baird
The art of designing the appearance of a vehicle is referred to as automotive design and it is of extreme importance in the present era where impressive external features are necessary and contribute extensively to ensure that a vehicle is adored by consumers and thus set cash registers ringing. It must be mentioned here, that the art of automotive design is applicable for not only automobiles and cars but also in case of heavier vehicles like trucks and vans and buses as well. It is the automotive engineers who play the most significant role in ensuring a perfect and adaptable design for a car and these designers are usually proficient in the field of art and industrial design. The concept of designing a vehicle is extremely important not only for giving it an attractive outer appearance but also at the same time it must be worked out bearing in mind the marketability of the car as well.
There are several facets of designing an automobile. These include exterior designing and interior designing, graphic designs, color and trim design. External styling refers to the conceptualization of the outer appearance of the vehicle and the entire processing occurs after creating a sketch and then giving shape to the forms and surface of the car. The industrial plastiscine model is most significant in determining the design of a car. Interior styling refers to the art of giving full form to the internal components like door liners, pillar trims, seats etc. Different graphic representations like switches, dials, liveries are also conceptualized by the automotive designers. One of the most important constituents of car designing is applying the surface color which gives a proper look to the final appearance of the car.
It was in the early 1920s in the United States that Alfred. P. Sloan Jr. devised the art of creating car designs which would undergo changes annually. This was a result of the monotony in prevalent car designs over long periods of time which had resulted in the formation of a saturation point in the automobile market of the country. This process of replacing designs annually was popularly referred to by Sloan as 'dynamic obsolescence'.
However, while this was a feature which could be adopted easily by the bigger automobile manufacturers, such regular re-styling was an expensive option for ht smaller manufacturers which therefore affected their sales adversely. In present times, the car designs are totally based on consumer demands.

Free Energy For Cars And Trucks - Is There Such A Thing?

Free Energy For Cars And Trucks - Is There Such A Thing?
by Peter C Johnson
Free energy for cars and trucks is something which has been in the pipeline of American technology for decade's. Patent's for such potential environmental saving technologies have been developed, yet for some reason suppressed. If these prototypes had been released when they were developed, who knows what the world would be like today- most likely a cleaner and less oil hungry place for sure.
So the question has got to be asked, why would these brilliant patent's which could potentially unlock free energy in cars and trucks be suppressed from being released. Many probably already have an idea- greed from the oil companies. Can you imagine the impact on demand for gasoline in the mid eighties - it would have been devastating for oil companies, but potentially rejuvenating for our environment.
So what is รข€˜free energy? Free energy is any form of energy which can be produced from readily available and sustainable and preferably natural products. What if I was to tell you now that the technology has arrived to run any car or truck on the simplest free energy available, water? That's right, any car or truck can be run off a combination of water and gasoline.
How It Works
At the core of this revolutionary free energy for car system is the production of HHO gas (also known as Hydroxy or Brows gas). Basically one creates a basic apparatus from readily available materials from any hardware store. The apparatus is installed under the hood of any car or truck, and is receives power (12 Volts) from the car or truck battery. This is what produces t he HHO gas, which is directed into the car or trucks manifold or carburettor. Thus free energy is produced, mileage is increased by between 30% - 50%, and one's gasoline costs are reduced by hundred's to thousand's of dollars a year.

Conclusion
The concept of free energy for cars and trucks is no longer a dream or technology in development. If you do a search on Google now for water powered car, you will be surprised with what the results deliver. Be careful when selecting a brand for you blueprint for creating a water powered car- always seek a proven track record, money back guarantee and testimonials of happy customers. Enjoy the benefits of running your car or truck on free energy.

Collectible Nascar Vroom away, into the horizon
Collectible Nascar Vroom away, into the horizon
by Robert Riles
Collectible nascar clocks and other memorabilia form part of the marketing kit that every racing team relies on to increase their revenue. Since Nascar is the second most popular sport after baseball and hockey, it also generates quite a revenue for the country and is a industry on its own. The Collectible nascar toys and miniature version of the cars sell the most and that too among children of all ages. For a person who is crazy about cars and racing, holding a race car in their hands gives them the most joy and excitement. Apart from the cars, there are also collectible nascar towels, which are available in colors based on a person's preferences. These also make for good gift ideas to a person who is passionate about the same sport. There are also some stores that stock a set of two bean bags sporting the nascar logo or a car's number or color on it. These fit in well in a room, which has other, related nascar collectibles.
If Jimmie Johnson is the racer you support, then how about a watch with his name on it or his car logo in it? Or you might like a barbecue set with Jeff Gordon's autograph on it? These would make for cool items to have at home , and would not only make the owner popular but also give them something to talk about while having a party. The surprise on the guests face when they see the autograph on the spoon or knife you are using would be priceless. Also by picking up one of these collects, you are thereby holding a piece of history or a special moment in your hands. If a racer has retired or quit racing because of an accident, and you used to enjoy watching them zoom around the race track, you could pick up a jersey with their name on it or a framed art with his autographed picture in it. Its a lovely way to remember a precious moment or a person.
Not only these, but there are off beat items like a lamp shade of a gum ball machine that have nascar logo or team color on the exterior surface. These not only look funky, but also add a bit of flavor to your home. A reflection of your personality as well exhibiting your interests these make ideal curio pieces. The best kind of collectible nascar are the framed pictures of the various Nascar drivers, such as Matt Kenseth, Richard Petty or Carl Edwards. These are all drivers who have created a name for themselves and earned a reputation for being killers on the track. The collectible nascar that one can carry around all the time would be belt buckles available, with a cool metal art of their team and the key chains sporting the names of their teams on them. These look smart and let the others know where your loyalties lie in terms of racing grabbing attention of passers by.

Kit-cars for car lovers

Kit-cars for car lovers
by Sandy Cosser
There are many kinds of widows whose husbands are still very much alive. There are golf widows, soccer widows and increasingly these days, Playstation widows. If your house is littered with car magazines, your weekends are taken up with car shows and a purring engine instead of a pretty lady turns your partner's head, you're probably a car enthusiast widow. This can be bad news if you're not interested in torque, pistons, 8-cylinder engines and fuel injection. It can be good news if you're looking for the perfect Christmas or birthday gift, as a kit-car would fulfil every childhood fantasy and provide hours of pure joy.
Kits can be ordered straight from the manufacturers via their websites. They can also be ordered online from a kit-car supplier. Choosing a kit-car can be sweet hell for a car lover. You can build anything from Big wheel off road vehicles to vintage cars. Two-seater sports cars are a very popular choice. Consider when choosing your kit-car what engine you would like to install, whether you want two-wheel or four-wheel drive and the kind of suspension you want to use. The beauty of kit-cars is that you're not limited to any set specifications. You can use the base and add just about any features that you want.
Before your kit arrives, it's important that you get a donor car. In some cases you may be able to salvage all that you need from one car, in other instances more than one donor car may be needed. Finding a donor car can be as simple as knocking on someone's door and asking them if you can buy the scrapped car in their yard, or looking in your local paper. Ideally all of your donor car's mechanical components should be in good working order. It's more likely that most of the car will be in pretty poor shape, but you should be able to refurbish most of it, and exchange the rest.
Once you've stripped your donor car, and cleaned and checked all the parts that you're going to use, it's advisable to read the manual to make sure that you understand everything. Kit-car manufacturing companies have help lines so that if you don't understand something or are having trouble, you can phone them and they will help you out. Another good idea is to formulate a building plan. You can follow the manual to the letter, or you can work to your own programme. It all depends on how much knowledge, equipment and time you possess.
One of the highlights of building your kit-car is putting your engine in place. This should be done with a proper hoist and not manhandled in by you and some of your best friends. An engine is deceptively heavy and once it's dropped, it can't be salvaged. It's best to spend a little extra money on renting a hoist, than a lot of money buying and refurbishing a new engine.
When your kit-car is up and running and has passed the road safety test, there are endless hours of pride and joy before you as you drive around the country in a car that you built. There is also the prospect of building another car. You could also venture out of your comfort zone and try a whole new mode of transportation, such as a kit-helicopter or an airplane.

Ford Car Warranties
Ford Car Warranties
by Keith Barrett
If you have a car that was manufactured by Ford and you are looking at buying extended car warranty, then it's worth shopping around. By spending time researching your options, you might end up saving yourself a lot of money.
The purchase of warranty agreements is an area that seems to cause many UK consumers a lot of confusion. This confusion undoubtedly arises, in part, from the way in which such products are sold in the United Kingdom.
Many are under the incorrect impression that it is necessary to visit a car dealership in order to purchase a policy. This is not, in fact, the case when it comes to such products. Nor is it the case when we turn to look at the specifics of buying a warranty for a Ford vehicle.
New vehicles will generally come with a warranty included. This is to cover the car owner during their initial period of vehicle ownership. Since new vehicles might be expected to have a few niggles, it is often fortunate that such cover is in place.
The length of this initial cover can vary from one manufacturer to the next. When you purchase a new car, it's important that you check on the exact details of any inclusive warranty arrangement. You may find that it provides assistance for anywhere between 12 and 36 months.
Once this cover expires, many Ford owners look to purchase extended warranty agreements. These can ensure that you can continue to use your car, safe in the knowledge that any problems will be covered. The financial safety margin that such a policy provides can be invaluable.
At this point, you may think that the most sensible thing to do would be to visit your local Ford dealership.
This may not, however, necessarily result in you getting the best possible car warranty deal. Unless you take the time to shop around, you may be unaware of whether you are being offered real value for money.
This highlights the importance of spending time researching what's available. You could save yourself a considerable amount by comparing prices online.
Don't simply accept the first offer that you see.

Get cover for Ford cars by Keith Barrett
Get cover for Ford cars
by Keith Barrett
The car warranty market in the UK can seem difficult to understand. If you're looking for extended warranty on your Ford, then taking the obvious route of buying from a dealership may end up costing you more than it should.
It seems so obvious really: when you need to extend your car warranty, you nip along to the local dealership to get a suitable policy.
Although it may well seem obvious, it's quite possible that taking such a course of action could end up costing you more money than would otherwise be the case.
The reality is that you can get cover for your Ford, or for any other vehicle, from a variety of sources. The problem is that most UK consumers are unaware of the competition that exists within the car warranties trade.
Car retailers are often acting as resellers. As a result, purchasing an agreement from a main dealership or car supermarket may end up costing you much more than would have been the case if you'd sourced the policy direct.
Getting a good standard of cover for your Ford car, without paying too much, is reliant on you taking a little bit of time to research what's available.
That may not sound like much fun. The good news is that the internet can provide the perfect tool to make sure that you can compare policies easily and approach independent warranty specialists direct.
With the increased transparency that the internet provides, you can compare warranty deals online. By being able to access such information in your own time, you can make sure that you understand exactly what is involved before purchasing a policy.
Since you'll be buying direct from a warranty company, you can also benefit from the lower prices that they offer to customers who buy online.
Shopping around could save you a significant amount of money on your Ford car warranty policy.

On Jeep and Jeeplift Kits
On Jeep and Jeeplift Kits
by Mcqueen
An automobile marque and registered trademark of Chrysler, Jeep is the oldest sports utility vehicle brand. With its top of the line designs, superb features, and sense of adventure, Jeep has obtained the 4x4 leadership worldwide over the years.
While the real Jeep lineup includes Commander, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Compass, Patriot, Wrangler, Liberty and Rubicon; many people treat the word "jeep" as a generic term and use it uncapitalized for any vehicle of this shape and function. That is why Chrysler's Jeep owners take so much effort in modifying and accessorizing their vehicles.
Since the Jeep brand is popular, there are a lot of aftermarket parts and accessories for its lineup in the automotive market. The are top covers for open Jeeps, warn winch for load raising purposes and there are also jeeplifts for better ground clearance.
Jeeps have always been known for their off road abilities that is why off road enthusiasts are always in the look for good additions to maximize the performance of their rigs. When it comes to off roading, low or lowered vehicles have no place, that is why your vehicle should be lifted to avoid contact from rocks and other elements that may serve as obstacles in your path.
Equipped with front and rear solid axles for smoother driving on ruts filled with twigs and rocks, Jeeps and other 4x4 vehicles will still not be better off without jeeplift kits . Raising the ride height of vehicles, these kits also enable steeper ascent, descent and breakover angles, higher ground clearance, and helps accommodate larger rims and tires. Lifts also impact other factors, such as drive shaft length, steering geometry and brake lines.
You can find a wide inventory of affordable and high quality lift kits for various brands, types and vehicle models made by the highly-renowned manufacturers available in auto parts and accessories stores online. Be sure to find a reliable source to facilitate faster ordering and purchasing. With just one click, you can now search and buy the appropriate kit for your vehicles.

Holiday Season Calls For Teen Drivers To Be Safe

Holiday Season Calls For Teen Drivers To Be Safe
by Anthony Fontanelle
The holiday season is just around the corner and road safety conscious groups are calling out to teen drivers to be more careful this season. Takata, the world's largest manufacturer of safety belts, created a list of tips to teen drivers for safe and responsible driving. The list includes other safety tips other than always using the seat belt.
According to the company, it is very important that teen drivers should avoid any distraction in any form to keep themselves safe. And when it comes to minimizing distractions, the mobile phone comes to mind immediately. Teen drivers are advised to leave their mobile phones at home or turn it off while behind the wheel.
Apart from mobile phones, eating while driving can also lead to distraction. Combined, mobile phones and eating while in the car causes distractions which results to about 4,000 traffic accidents on a daily basis. That fact is according to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration or the NHTSA.
Another thing that Takata is pointing out is that more teen drivers are driving with numerous passengers. If a teen is driving a vehicle loaded with his or her friends, there is a big chance that he or she can be distracted. Therefore, Takata advises teen drivers to drive with as few passengers as possible. The NHTSA reported that a vehicle loaded with three or more passengers can be involved in an accident four times than a single driver's risk.
And since driving in winter is a potential problem for teen drivers, Takata advises them to take precautionary measures. One of these tips is to "thoroughly clean windows before driving, allow extra time to reach your destination, turn on your headlights anytime there is fog, rain, sleet, or snow". By following these simple tips, teen drivers can protect themselves from the risk of meeting an accident while driving in winter.
Other tips provided by Takata reads: "Double/triple the space between you and the car in front of you during any type of precipitation"; "Check to make sure brakes and windshield wipers are working properly before driving"; "Carry an emergency kit: Items to include are an ice scraper, windshield washer fluid, warm blanket, jumper cables, lock de-icer, and a flashlight"; and "Never let your gas tank go below half-full."
These tips offered by Takata will go a long way in keeping teen drivers safe. Reliable seat belts as tough as Acura brake dust shields will also help a lot.

Pre Owned BMW Madness
Pre Owned BMW Madness
by Fabian Toulouse
BMW drivers are more often than not brand loyal. The look and ride of these luxury vehicles is undeniably fine. For BMW lovers, a brand new vehicle is not always a necessity. A pre owned BMW is an excellent choice as well. It is economical (new car prices are through the roof and rarely do vehicles appreciate in value) and you still wind up with a great ride! Looking for a quality pre owned BMW can be a hassle though, unless you just love spending lots of time cruising used car lots and wondering how reputable the dealers may be. This does not have to be the case, however. The internet has changed how we shop for everything these days. If you can find a dump truck on Ebay, finding a pre owned BMW is a given. But just as in the real world, you must be careful choosing a merchant.
Moterwerks is an excellent site for finding a top of the line pre owned BMW, along with almost any other conceivable brand of car, truck, or SUV. Browsing the Motorwerks site will make your mouth water! If you are in the market for a pre owned BMW there are literally dozens listed, along with all the vital statistics. You can immediately see year, model, color, trim package, price, the dealership where the car is located, and the all-important mileage.
One click gets you even more specifications as well as 360 degree interior and exterior views and a look at the car on eBrochure. If you are looking for a particular option, you will find out immediately whether or not a certain pre owned BMW carries it. Motorwerks does not stop at simply laying the cars out on an easy to use website. From their site you can actually get all the dealer information and arrange for a test drive. Online financing is available should you need it. In addition, you can also use the Motorwerks site to order parts or schedule maintenance and repair. From the website to your garage, no one sees you through the murky waters of obtaining the perfect pre owned BMW like Motorwerks.

Honda to Recall 43,200 Acura RL Sedans
Honda to Recall 43,200 Acura RL Sedans
by Anthony Fontanellea
Japan's second largest car manufacturer and producer of quality Acura CL air filter recharge kit, Honda, will be recalling 43,200 Acura RL sedans due to a faulty power steering hose that may crack from engine heat leading to fire accident.
The said recall will affect 2005-2008 models as reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on their website just recently.
Honda said that it is very important to fix the cracked hose since it can release a volatile fluid onto a hot catalytic converter that may cause fire. There were already two reports of fires in Japan that has triggered for an internal investigation and finally to a recall based on the report posted by NHTSA on its web site.
Honda has started notifying affected owners and according to the letter from William Willen, lawyer of Honda's Torrance, California-based US unit dealers will install a heat-resistant hose. Aside from Honda, Volvo will also recall 37,000 (2007-08) XC90 sport utility vehicles while Suzuki will conduct a recall of some 40,424 (2006-07) Grand Vitara SUVs that is according to NHTSA.
The problem with XC90 is its climate-control module that is feared to shut down after the ignition key is inserted thereby disabling the defroster during cold weather and reducing visibility said NHTSA.
Dan Johnston, US spokesman for Volvo in Rockleigh, New Jersey has confirmed the recall but declined to comment any further on the matter.
The recall called by Suzuki for its Grand Vitara is caused by a faulty automatic transmission that slip out of park once the engine is shut off causing for a vehicle to roll off causing a crash that is according to NHTSA. Beth Borozan, US spokeswoman for Hamamatsu, Japan-based Suzuki, has confirmed the said recall but also declined to make any comment on the subject.
Honda's Car Sales in China Up by 36 Percent in November Aside from the recall, Honda has also announced that they have sold around 46,226 vehicles in China during the month of November up by 36.4% from the 33,881 in the same month last year.
The carmaker also said in a statement that it has sold around 378,602 vehicles for the period covering from January to November up from the previous 287,709 units sold or 31.6 percent in the same period last year.
Honda's 50-50 joint venture with Dongfeng Motor Corp, Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co. has sold 114,482 vehicles from January to November which has more than doubled the previously reported sales of 54,685 in the same period last year.
Likewise, Honda's 50-50 joint venture with Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., has sold 264,120 vehicles for the first 11 months of this year up by 13.3 percent from 233,024 in the same period last year.

Chevrolet Camaro - Marking Of A New Era
Chevrolet Camaro - New Era
by Kathy Austin
The end of the 19th century marked the beginning of a new era, when the automobile industry was born with the advent of cars powered by engines such as the gas (invented by Gottlieb Daimler) and the internal-combustion engine (designed by Karl Benz). Manufacturers spend billions on research to improve safety, performance and comfort. Customers on the other hand, did go a step forward by modifying the exteriors, interiors and the functioning of the vehicles to customize it to their satisfaction.
Changes to the exterior of the car include preferential alterations to the appearance, paint, stickers, alloy wheels, radial tires, use of mounted fog lamps and the like. The interiors are enhanced by using different materials for the seat covers, dash boards, roof and the works to make it absolutely stylish and comfortable.
Apart from these modification options, there are lots of fashionable accessories available today. Some of these include clothing accessories, eyewear and even designer key chains. Accessories such as the key chains come in so many forms that they have even become collectibles for people with a passion for these.
The Chevy is identified by its trendy "bow-tie" logo seen on all their cars (like the Camaro, Aveo, Corvair, Corvette and Impala), the scale models and on all their accessories such as key chains, hand bags, clothing and eyewear. This logo was introduced in 1913 after Durant saw it on a wall paper in a French hotel.
The Chevrolet Camaro key chain comes in various shapes, sizes and materials namely:
1) Chevrolet Camaro Metal key chain- With different finishes such as chrome, gold-plated and brass and available in different shapes such as round, oval and rectangular these key chains are truly a collectors item. The logo is laser-burned onto the surface to give a spectacular finish to the key chain.
2) Chevrolet Camaro leather key chain- These key chains too come in different shapes with the traditional logo embossed in varying metal finishes and are available in different colors such as black, burgundy and red.
3) Plasticolor Chevrolet Camaro rubberized key chain- These are molded key chains and the attention to detail has resulted in a beautiful wonderful keychain that would perfectly match your style.
4) Flashlight LED key chain- As the name suggests, this key chain comes with a LED-light that helps in inserting the key in dark.
5) Specialized key chains- These are made with some particular models in mind like the photo key chains, scale model key chains and the like. Some of them also carry the depictions of cartoon characters such as Popeye standing beside the car.
6) Camaro key chains in the form of auto parts- These key chains are made to resemble parts of the car such as piston, connecting rod and seat belts and at times make handy bottle or can openers.
Today, cars are not limited to mere modes of transport, but have become a symbol of status and style. Complimenting this view, accessories not only play a vital role in making a style statement but also help the customer bond with his vehicle.

The Most Recalled Car of 2007: Volkswagen Beetle

The Most Recalled Car of 2007: Volkswagen Beetle
by Anthony Fontanelle
Vehicle sales figure for 2007 is predicted to be 16.1 million units and almost equaling this figure is the number of recalls each automaker made for several of their models together.
Last August, Ford announced that they will be recalling their 3.6 million vehicles, mostly in the truck segment from the 1990s model years. The massive recalls were due to defects in the speed control deactivation switch. Similarly, brake light problems have resulted in Volkswagen recalling 1,000,000 units of the Volkswagen Beetle from 2001 to 2007 model years making it the most recalled vehicle model for the year. For Toyota, the 2004-2006 Tundra and the 2004-2007 Sequoia were recalled due to problems in the lower ball joint on the vehicle's front suspension.
These past few years, almost all automaker have issued vehicle recalls. "Now almost any time you pick up a newspaper, there is a recall," said Tom Libby, senior director of industry analysis at J.D. Power & Associates in Troy, Michigan.
Even a Ferrari worth $168,000 is not an exception to defective vehicles. In the early months of 2007, the Italian luxury sports car maker recalled 216 of its 2005 and 2006 models of the F430 coupe and spider models. The vehicles were detected to have faulty clutch pumps. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the defect "could result in a reduction in a driver's ability to shift gears while driving and result in a crash."
We may wonder that if every year, vehicle quality is upgraded, then why are recalls also rising? According to auto experts, the incidents are due to automakers sharing platforms and parts, therefore increasing the chances that a defective part be used in various models causing problems to all of it. On the other side, Libby said that recalls could be taken as a sign that the automakers are exerting extra efforts to solve vehicle problems, thereby protecting its consumers.
Recalls can be a stain to a vehicle's brand and model. It may give the consumers the idea that they bought a "lemon" and it is known to all that recalls can be ammunition to product liability attorneys for lawsuits.
"This stuff gets amplified a great deal because there are certain lawyers waiting to use this information, and they are out there actively looking for new business on a class action basis," VW spokesman Keith Price said.
This year the most recalled vehicles are: Volkswagen New Beetle (with Volkswagen Beetle distributor rotor), Toyota Tundra and Sequoia, Jeep Liberty, Nissan Altima, Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Wrangler and Dodge Nitro, Suzuki Forenza and Reno, Volkswagen Passat and Passat Wagon, Lexus ES 350 and Chrysler Sebring.

Best Car Lease Deal: 2008 Chevy Malibu

Best Car Lease Deal: 2008 Chevy Malibu
by Daniel Lamb
Named after Malibu in California, this car straight out of General Motors' Chevrolet line looks like it could top many best car lease deal lists in the country yet again; especially with the release of the 2008 Chevy Malibu. Top magazines have called it the next big thing in mid-sized cars, commenting that Chevrolet has delivered and arrived, while also warning other top car manufacturers to start stepping up their game. If that's not enough to make this the next top best car lease deal, then we don't know what is; unless of course another car should come along to take its place. Perhaps this is a wake up for competitors like Toyota.
Coming out next fall, the Chevy Malibu 2008 is all about style than it is about power. With Chevrolet's all-new trademark styling (the dual-port grille in front of most of their vehicles), this is probably the best Malibu since the series was ever conceptualized. These may be bold words, but one look at this next best car lease deal will convince many a car lover for many months (or years) to come. The 2008 Malibu was designed with features specifically to suit American taste: the new grille, over-sized headlamps, and a sleek back-swept windshield. Topped off with thin panel gaps and wheels that seem to fill the arches completely, it's obviously a lot richer than any previous models from Chevrolet and it won't be surprising to see starting prices bumping up to almost $20,000. Nevertheless, it's a still a price that many can afford for a basic model and one will definitely get the best car lease deal when looking to add all the extra features available for it.
The Chevy Malibu has done what it was expected to do: it's gotten bigger. This is obvious when looking at its waistline which is about three inches longer than its predecessor. Also, in the wheelbase it is about six inches longer and a half-inch wider. Three models are expected to be released (bases LS, mid-range LT and the loaded LTZ) and many green-supporters will be glad to know that Chevrolet is including the rollout of a hybrid as well.

Land Rover LRX Heading to Detroit
Land Rover LRX Heading to Detroit
by Anthony Fontanelle
British automaker Land Rover, subsidiary of Ford Motor Company's Premier Automotive Group (PAG) will unveil their newest concept model at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit this coming January 2008. The Land Rover LRX concept will make its world premiere at the most prestigious motor show in the United States and will stir the crowd in Detroit. According to Land Rover, the LRX concept is a vision of the company's future and the "bold evolution" of Land Rover's design that indicates the "progressive shift into new areas of the market, while remaining true to its core values." In addition, the Land Rover LRX concept will mark the British automaker's 60th anniversary.
Phil Popham, Land Rover's managing director said: "The LRX concept delivers the powerful message that we are as serious about sustainability as we are confident about the continuing relevance and desirability of our vehicles. The LRX is in every respect a Land Rover, but it's a very different Land Rover."
opham added: "LRX has unmistakable Land Rover design and the breadth of capability that you'd expect from our vehicles. But it carries those essentials into a segment where the brand has never been before, and with a proposed level of efficiency that would make it one of the cleanest vehicles in its class."
The new Land Rover LRX concept that is heading to Detroit features a three-door body styling with several components that made this striking model more compact, and lighter. The new LRX is smaller than the popular LR2 model, which will answer the needs of customers in the segment. Overall, the new Land Rover combines the aggressive characteristics and capability of a 4x4 vehicle and the concept of a large vehicle, in a compact model. Land Rover expects that this quality will be the vehicle's assets during its launch in world wide market. Moreover, the compact size of the Land Rover LRX concept will have an appeal to customers, especially in the United Kingdom who wanted a versatile sport utility vehicle (SUV) model carrying a Land Rover nameplate.
Unfortunately, the British automaker did not release detailed specs and features of the new LRX concept. Land Rover only states some of the highlights of the LRX concept, which include reduced aerodynamic drag, smaller frontal area, improved fuel efficiency, reduced harmful exhaust emissions, and sustainability focused technologies. Car fans should watch out for the Land Rover LRX at 2008 NAIAS, because the automaker said that the features, specs, and full details of this new concept model will be released during the show. Anyway, customers can upgrade their auto parts (like GMC Jimmy catalytic converter) while waiting for the LRX to arrive in dealerships here in the U.S.

Mercedes-Benz to Double Sales of Diesel Cars, SUVs in the US

Mercedes-Benz to Double Sales of Diesel Cars, SUVs in the US
by Anthony Fontanelle
The luxury car unit of Daimler AG, Mercedes-Benz the producer of high quality Mercedes S350 radiator support has announced recently that it may double the sales of its diesel vehicles in the US after successfully meeting the emission regulations in all states.
The Bluetec diesel motors equipped on Mercedes cars and sport utility vehicles were able to comply with the countr's strictest emission requirements especially in the state of California and because of this the luxury car maker will finally start marketing its vehicles in the US.
According to Ernst Lieb, the unit' chief executive officer for the US, "When we're able to have diesel in all states we'll be in a position to possibly double the number of diesels we sell." In an interview in New York, Mr. Lieb said that the models to be offered in the US will include cleaner models such as the re-engined versions of the M, GL and the R-Class SUVs.
The coming of Mercedes vehicles in the US is just perfect since according to the study conducted by J.D. Power & Associates, diesel's share in the US car and light-truck market is likely to quadruple to 11.8 percent by 2015. This is attributed to the fact that automakers are already responding to calls and demands for emission controlled vehicles. Likewise, the fuel that powers half of the new cars distributed in Europe has been blocked from entering US since consumers associate it with heavy trucks and aside from that most of the gas stations in the US don't offer it.
In California and in four other US states sales of new diesel autos are restricted since diesel vehicles are believed to emit soot and gases that are linked to heart and lung disease. The luxury unit of Daimler AG has started selling a diesel version of its E-320 sedan in all 50 states since its Bluetec engine was able to meet up with the emission standards required in the US.
Mercedes-Benz will also offer its new GLK small SUV on the market in early part of 2009 which Mr. Lieb said will provide that extra boost to sales. The GLK will be made to compete with BMW's X3.

Mazda To Unveil Concept At NAIAS

Mazda To Unveil Concept At NAIAS
by Anthony Fontanelle
The North American International Auto Show is about to take place in January next year. Automakers though are already announcing what vehicles can be expected on their stands come the big day. Japanese automaker Mazda announced recently that they will showcase, among others, two concept vehicles.
The first of the two and arguably the one many car enthusiasts are looking forward to is the world premiere of the Mazda Furai concept car. The Furai concept is one of the show stoppers at the Tokyo Motor Show held earlier. The NAIAS will be held in Detroit from Sunday, January 13 to Sunday, January 27 next year.
Apart from the Furai concept, the automaker will also unveil for the first out of Japan the Taiki concept, another vehicle which has made an impact at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. Both these concept vehicles are not expected to be mass produced by the automaker in the very near future. But with said vehicles, Mazda is showing to the auto industry the direction it would be taking.
Apart from the two concept vehicles, Mazda will also showcase a heavily revised new Mazda RX-8 sports car. Said vehicle has already captured the attention of performance enthusiasts in the United States and in other countries around the world.
According to the automaker's newsletter, the Furai concept is inspired by the fact that "on any given weekend, there are more Mazdas and Mazda-powered cars road-raced in the United States than any other brand". The Furai concept though is not al about speed and performance as it is also a green vehicle. Mazda designed the concept to run on ethanol fuel which when burned produces less greenhouse gases than petroleum gasoline.
Franz von Holzhausen, Mazda's North American director for design had this to say about the Furai concept: "Furai purposely blurs boundaries that have traditionally distinguished street cars from track cars. Historically, there has been a gap between single-purpose racecars and street-legal models รข€" commonly called supercars รข€" that emulate the real racers on the road. Furai bridges that gap like no car has ever done before."
According to the automaker's newsletter, the Furai concept takes the Nagare (Japanese for "flow") design concept a step further. The Nagare design involves the use of smooth curves for better aerodynamics. Mazda made the Furai even more streamlined by modeling it after American Le Mans Series racing cars. The result of their effort is a vehicle with smooth lines, great performance, and green credential, plus, it is equipped with highly reliable auto parts, as durable as Mazda speed parts.

The Ultimate Subaru
The Ultimate Subaru
It has always been the tradition of giving a gift to a person whom you love whatever the occasion may be. May it be birthday, holidays, Valentine's Day or just a simple thought of saying thank you by giving a gift or whatever the occasion is the thought and the effort has always been there of giving a gift. We tend to run out of ideas at times especially when we are pre-occupied of some things in our lives. This would lead to a haphazard way of choosing of a gift just for compliance purposes. The intention of gift giving has been duly forgotten. The purpose of making a person to feel special and that you remember him on that day is to make him realize that indeed you remember, love and care for him. Isn't it wonderful to give something out of your effort and self to the person whom you treasure the most in your life? Indeed it is, that's the beauty of giving something not just to anybody or any stranger but to that one special person in your life that is something worth to be happy about.
Still thinking what to give your special someone on that special day? Why won't you give him a Subaru key chain? To give that sense of individuality and dazzling personal touches will transform this key chain into the ultimate Subaru key chain. This is so by engraving a 5-word message to your special someone at the back of the key chain just to signify the love and affection that you have towards that person. This might be difficult to you and to some people as well; however, this will create a sense of deep happiness to the receiver of the gift for the reason that it was given out of love and should be accepted with open arms and love as well. That would be a fair, isn't it? If there are some things that you want to add to the key chain, you can do that as well. That's the beauty of giving a key chain, it can be personalized and custom made just to suit the client's needs. Here are some ways by which a key chain can be personalized: first, engraving the person's name or initials or a message; second, having some modifications of the design of the key chain without altering the substance or the base design of it. These are just two of the tips that could make a key chain personalized. There are a lot of ways though, unlimited that is. This is as far as your human mind can explore and discover as such.
It is not how much you spend in buying the gift that counts when you give a gift, it's the intention and the sincerity of giving such gift that really matters. That is something that should not be taken for granted for, what good is an expensive car when you give it out of expecting something in return or in lieu of something that you owe that special person for. As the saying goes, "It's the thought that count".
Give that special person a key chain that he will truly treasure and use everyday of his life, in that manner he will not forget the person who give such gift and will truly appreciate the effort that was exerted in making the key chain unique and personalized to suit the personality or the feelings of the person giving such gift. So for the next birthday, holiday or Valentine's Day give a custom made Subaru key chain or any key chain for that matter to bring a smile to your loved one's face.

Honda Type R
Honda Type R
A Honda Type R car owner will definitely agree that the car he has chosen is one of the best cars in the world a car manufacturer has to offer. The Honda Type R series are known to be special performance cars which were originally made for racing conditions. From this fact alone, we could then say that this car series equals to total high performance in both speed and engine capacity. Honda originally conceptualized the Type R series for the sole purpose of running it in racetracks only, but with the big demand of the product and an improvement of a new type of engine, the Type R series was that made to cater to a wide range of users, not only limited to the racetracks. This is basically in line with the car manufacturer's slogan which states: "The power of dreams". In the fact alone that a car originally made for the race tracks has been altered to run evn in the city streets or the country side.
There are about 4 models for the Honda Type R series. Each possess unique specs and performance values. The NSX Type R was released exclusively in Japan. The first release was in 1992. The car however was solely made for the race track but it lacked the components of the ideal race machine. A second release of the same model was done in 2002, but again exclusive in Japan only. This time, the car was Improved in mostly in aspects like weight, aero dynamics, body kit and down force. Other models followed like the Integra Type R which was known as Acura in North America and Honda in other parts of the world was categorized as a sporty car which served as a sedan and a hatchback at the same time. The Civic is a compact car which was introduced as early as 1972 and is on its sixth generation of manufacturing and improvement. The Honda Civic Type R also belongs to this line up but of course considering the fact that it is a Type R making it different from the other Honda Civic models. The Honda Accord was introduced as a hatchback with a compact design. The desire for the company to move this model into an upscale produced the Honda Accord Type R series.
The Honda type R key chains come in three uniquely crafted designs. All Honda Type R key chains come in silver and are designed as a teardrop, a steering wheel or a valet key chain. These designs will surely capture every Honda owner's taste. The key chains are ideal for placing your car keys to better the total Honda experience. Car owners can go with attractive steering wheel design to take pride of the Honda car that they own. The teardrop design is ideal for those owners who are particular with alternative designs for the key chains that they possess and the valet key chains are for those who carry a lot of keys. These designs are custom made to fit the user in every way.

Honda rolls out 1 millionth vehicle made in Thailand

Honda rolls out 1 millionth vehicle made in Thailand
by Anthony Fontanelle
Last Thursday, Honda Automobile Company Ltd. based in Thailand announced that its Avutthawa manufacturing facility already has rolled out its one-millionth produced car. The first "made-in Thailand" vehicle carrying the Honda badge was produced in 1984 and due to its state-of-the art method of designing cars, Honda Automobile (Thailand) Company Ltd. is now the second largest producer and exporter of passenger vehicles in the country.
Kenji Otaka, president of Honda Automobile (Thailand) Company Ltd., said, "This accomplishment of 'one million' total cumulative production in Thailand is not only a testimony of consumers' trust in the Honda brand but also a strong vote of confidence in our people, technology, and design innovations."
Since 1984, Honda has committed its Thailand base with huge investments to meet the practical vehicle needs of the country. With these efforts, Thailand produced vehicles reflect Honda DNA as the automaker transferred their technology and skills over to the Asia-Oceania region.
Last July 2007, Honda Motor Co. invested $205 million for the extension of the facility in Ayutthaya province which will double its production from 120,000 units to 240,000 units in 2008, when the project is completed. Honda's new site will be one of the world's cleanest auto manufacturing facilities in the world since the plant will be producing clean technologies.
"Through our pioneering research, next-generation technologies, and innovative designs, we are constantly raising the standards for quality manufacturing and enhancing customer satisfaction. Word-of-mouth endorsements by people who have personally experienced driving a Honda vehicle are valuable testimonials about Honda's durability, safety, reliability, quality and environment-friendly attributes," said Otaka.
14 countries are being supplied by Honda vehicles and auto parts built in Thailand for CKD (completely knocked down or the components and parts needed to complete a car like the Acura CL fuel injectors) and 30 countries are provided for CBU (completely built up or exported whole vehicles).
The fresh 2008 Honda Accord is the one-millionth unit Honda vehicle produced in Thailand. The bigger, sportier and roomier 2008 model debuted last November and is also Thailand's first locally produced that is gasohol E20-friendly.
About Honda's manufacturing facility in Thailand Honda's manufacturing facility in Thailand is the sixth largest in the world, after Japan, USA, China, Canada and the United Kingdom. It employs around 3,700 people at the Thailand plant.
The manufacturing site is located at Rojana Industrial Estate, Ayutthaya Province, on a site that covers almost 680,000 square meters.
Models manufactured at the plant include the Honda Jazz, City, Civic, CR-V and the all-new Accord.
Honda will accelerate its regional R&D functions (planning, concept building, styling, research, development, and testing) as well as technology transfer to the Asia/Oceania region by transferring its R&D role to Thailand in order to meet the growing demand for Honda products
At present, Thailand belongs to the world's top ten producers of vehicles. Every year, it produces a total of 1.8 million vehicles and 800,000 units of which are exported to different countries all over the world.

VW Takes Diesel Racing To North America
VW Takes Diesel Racing To North America
by Anthony Fontanelle
Volkswagen AG will be testing the waters in North America by introducing a fresh racing series in 2008. The racing event will highlight better fuel mileage protection of air quality.
The first ever all-diesel powered racing series will hit the tracks in 2008 with the formation of the Jetta TDI Cup, sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Pro Racing department, said Motorsport. The idea of showcasing the power and performance of its new clean diesel technology is even unique to the German automaker.
Part of VW's goal is for the young racers to develop their skills and move up the motorsport ladder. It means that the 2008 winner cannot race in the series in the future. However, if one does not win, they can run up to a maximum of three years but they have to go through the screening process and qualify for the new series held annually.
Being active in auto racing is not unique however, and with their past performances, the automaker is prepared to take on their new challenge. In Europe, Asia and Africa, VW is one of the top manufacturers with drivers who chase for the popular VW Cup.
According to the reports, the newest series will have 30 Jetta TDIs ready for the 2008 competition. All will be prepared identically for the aspiring drivers who wish to take on the challenge next year, racing clean diesel powered racing machines. The prize at the end of the season will see two of the drivers participate in Germany at the season finale for the VW Polo Cup series.
"The Jetta TDI Cup racing series will celebrate Volkswagen's diesel technology and heritage in motorsports as good, clean fun," said Stefan Jacoby, CEO, Volkswagen of America, Inc. "Not only will the young drivers gain real-life track experience in a factory-prepared race vehicle, it will allow them to develop their own mindset of today's clean diesel technology, and foster increased awareness of its advantages in this new era of environmental sensitivity."
At the SEMA show in Las Vegas, NV, SCCA Pro Racing's president and CEO Robert Wildberger has this to say: "With the Jetta TDI Cup, Volkswagen has created an amazing platform to develop young drivers and expand their knowledge about clean and quiet diesel technology. We look forward to the series in hopes that it will attract more attention to the drivers and advantages of diesel power."
The prowess of VW Jetta parts cannot be overemphasized. Improving the car's power is a 2.0 liter, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine which will power the Jetta TDI race cars. All will have ABS racing brakes, a six-speed double-clutch DSG transmission, and a fully independent racing suspension along with the required cockpit safety requirements.
So who will race in the upcoming series? Knowing that there are many young racers aged 16 to 26 who would grab the rare chance, VW will accept applications to find the 40 drivers. There will only be 30 starters but ten will be held in reserve. Qualifying will take place to know the lucky 40.
VW has the dates set for the qualifying sessions in March with the first race event set for April 26 to 27 next year. Prospective drivers will not to bother about the sponsors; the German automaker will take care of the matter.

Ford Mustang gets Glass Roof

Ford Mustang gets Glass Roof
by Anthony Fontanelle
Ford Motor Company's Mustang model, dubbed as Americas favorite muscle car will be celebrating its 45th anniversary in the automotive market. As a part of the celebration, Ford will answer the needs of consumers who want more natural light in their cars when driving by providing them a third roof option.
For the 2009 model year, Ford will add up the Ford Glass Roof Mustang in the company's product lineup. This new roof option will be available over the V6 powered Mustang as well as the high performance Mustang GT model starting at the summer of 2008. In addition, Ford offers the Glass Roof Mustang because of the increasing production of sunroofs in North America by about 200 percent.
According Derrick Kuzak, Fords group vice president, Global Product Development: Mustang is an icon in our product lineup, and we are committed to keeping Mustang news fresh every year. As the automotive landscape becomes increasingly competitive, features such as a panoramic glass roof will help differentiate our products from the competition.
With a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $1,995, the new glass roof is expected to provide customers with a less expensive option that a convertible model without compromising the versatility and climate-controlled environment of the coupe, according to Ford. The Glass roof of the Ford Mustang is made of tinted privacy glass. This allows the glass roof to reduce infrared rays and vehicle cool-down time by about 50 percent. The glass roof is also equipped with a built in manual roller blind that allows owners to further control exposure on the sun. Moreover, according to Ford, the glass roof also "protects interior fabric material from solar radiation deterioration and discoloration by reducing solar light transmittance" and "features a layer of vinyl that reduces noise, vibration and harshness."
Assembled at the Automotive Alliance International plant in Flat Rock, Michigan, the glass roof for the Ford Mustang is a safety glass, which means it will not shatter with sharp and jagged edges unlike other typical glasses used in the automotive industry.
Paul Randle, chief nameplate engineer also commented: Quality is a continuous process. The whole team is passionate about it, which results in our paying attention to the smallest details. Our owners have high expectations, and we always want to meet them " with strong features like this new roof option, quality and performance.
Other upcoming Ford Mustang models next year include the Mustang Bullitt and the powerful Shelby GT500KR, which will arrive in dealerships to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original Shelby Cobra GT500KR. Anyway, customers can also get Acura models like the CL equipped with Acura CL cold air intake while waiting for these Mustang models to arrive in showrooms.

Electric Car Designs; What Is Missing?

Electric Car Designs; What Is Missing?
by Terry Bolton
There are yearly contests for engineering students, as well as high school students that can enter their electric car designs that promote the development of this automotive technology. Despite the fact the electric auto has been manufactured, and forgotten there is a continuous push for more optimal designs that can utilize battery or solar power to move a vehicle.
El Car Designs Do Not Differ that much from Conventional
Electric cars look like conventional cars aesthetically, both when it comes to exterior and interior. The same great and pretty designs are available, and friends and family will hardly be able to tell the difference. However, some new and simmering are emerging even today that promise better efficiency because unlike conventional cars which essentially only stress their aesthetics, electric vehicles also focus on the insides.
A question many people ask is; what exactly makes electric car designs different from other designs of conventional cars? Well, most electric automobiles bypass the use of gasoline and an engine completely although some have a secondary engine and storage tank in case the battery dies. Rather than using gasoline as a primary source of power, electric car design call for the usage of electricity like the name implies. A huge battery, made from materials like lithium ion - which is similar to performance batteries found in electronics like notebook computers - powers an efficient electric motor. New designs allow electric vehicles to travel up to fifty miles or more on a single charge.
Neat Usefulness
While conventional cars can easily travel 250 miles on a tank of gas, electric cars don't yet have the ability to go even close to hundred miles on a single charge. Keep in mind though that electricity is still much cheaper than gasoline. Nuclear power, hydroelectricity, and other sources of power, can power an electric vehicle indirectly by empowering the lines that the vehicle is charged from at a cost as low as about one cent per mile. The most fuel efficient conventional automobiles still cost around 7.5 cents per mile. It's unlikely that conventional engines will become significant more efficient, which is why research and development has occurred with regard to alternatives such as fuel made of hydrogen and other chemicals as well as electricity
Electric car designs should not be confused with design of hybrid cars. Hybrid cars utilize technologies from both conventional and electric cars to achieve slightly better fuel efficiency while lowering emissions, but they will probably never be as efficient as electric cars. Several families own two or more vehicles, so they would still have a long range car for vacations and business trips. For a car that's cheap and efficient for everyday transportation, an electric vehicle is the perfect solution.

2007 Chrysler 300
2007 Chrysler 300
by Fei Lim
The 2007 Chrysler 300 is definitely a car that has heads turning. Large and bold, it has a look that commands attention and a price that will make you do a double take - in a good way. If you are looking for a car that is stylish, hip, and luxurious, but you don't want to pay a huge price, then the Chrysler 300 definitely meets the bill. The price tag on this car starts out around $25,000 for a base price and then climbs all the way up to close $40,000 if you want all the extras. However, either way it is still a great price for all this car.
Not only does the 2007 Chrysler 300 have a commanding presence, but it also has plenty of power to back up the look. You have several choices to choose from when it comes to the engine in the 300. First there are two Hemi V8's or you can choose from the two V6's as well. No matter which engine choice you make, you are definitely going to have a great deal of power in this car. Either one of these engines are more than able to power around this vehicle that weighs just a bit more than 4000 pounds. While the two V6's afford you 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the road, you can expect a bit less if you choose the Hemi's. With the Hemi's you will probably get around 14-15 while driving in the city and about 20 when you're doing road driving.
With the power that is afforded by any of the engines you can choose from, you will definitely have to be careful to watch your speed. All the power under the hood brings this car alive and makes it quite easy to squeal the tires and take off leaving other drivers in the dust. While of course the Hemi V8's offer the most power, if you are wanting to save on gas costs you may want to opt for one of the V6 engines instead.
If you take a few moments to sit inside the 2007 Chrysler 300, you will be amazed at the amount of room that it boasts. It is very spacious and comfortable while still bringing back the vintage design from earlier years. The interior has a very simple elegance that is extremely appealing and it has special tortoise shell trim that is beautiful. No need to worry about being cramped up in this car either, since it sports an excellent amount of legroom, even for those who have long legs. Plenty of room is also found in the trunk, with 15.6 cubic feet of room available for everything you need to carry.
For those who are concerned about safety, there is no need to worry. The 2007 Chrysler 300 is equipped with state of the art safety features that will keep you safe while you enjoy the ride. ABS brakes are helpful when driving on slipper roads, a stability system provides you with stability even on sharp turns, and you can also opt to have the side curtain airbags in the vehicle as well. If you have a secret dream of having a car that rides like a limo, then you may want to consider the 300 that comes with a longer wheel base, which definitely provides a ride that will make you fell like you're in a limousine.
Taking a close look at the 2007 Chrysler 300, more than likely you will see quite a few similarities to a Mercedes. This is because both Chrysler and Daimler-Benz have worked on this beautiful car together. So, you get the best of both worlds, with wonderful American style along with the Mercedes technology that so many love. Boasting 0-60 in 6.3 seconds, this car probably will not be winning any drag races; however, it is definitely equipped with more than enough power to get you where you need to go quickly. The 2007 Chrysler 300 is a bit of a blast from the past, bringing back the style of the 1955 300 C; however, it definitely is a car that boasts new style and technology as well. You get a great ride, a beautiful interior, and a sleek exterior that looks great and commands attention.

Work Hard Like The Chevy Astro
Work Hard Like The Chevy Astro
by Kathy Austin
The Chevrolet's Astro has an amazing pulling power of 5,500 lb. Now that is the strength of Chevy's Astro.
Introduced in 1985, Chevy's Astro is a multi-purpose van that effectively competed with rival Dodge's Plymouth Voyager and various van models of the Japanese manufacturer Toyota. It is a versatile van and could be used as a standard passenger van or a cargo van. The Astro is also used as the base for 'converted vans' designed for a variety of uses. General Motor's Safari, a truck-based platform, is the sibling of the hardworking Astro.
Astro's body belongs to the M-Van class and is much like its predecessors, the F-Body and X-Body types manufactured by General Motors.
In its article about Chevy Astro, Wikipedia featured an image of this model of a Coca-Cola delivery van. The impression given is that it is for a targeted group of people. That is why people who drive this van are noticeably hardworking folks or at least that's what the manufacturers want to convey. And there is way to commend them in a very special way - give them a stylish Chevy Astro Keychains.
Compared to Chrysler minivans, the Astro offers much room. General motors marketed this model using the tagline "life is too big for a minivan." Astro takes pride in accommodating large numbers of people, more than an ordinary car (up to eight (8) passengers). This makes the model ideal for a mini-school bus, tour van, or a family vacation companion.
The Chevy Astro is undoubtedly a durable model, just what hardworking people are looking for in a multi-purpose van. There is this story about one of the eight Special Edition Astro vans manufactured at the Arlington, Texas plant in 1986. According to Wikipedia, the unit spent 20 years in Belton, Texas and is now an ice cream van in Mexico. Uh! That ice man must be a proud owner of a Chevy Astro! He deserves a fine top grain black leather keychain sporting the Chevy Logo and the model name "Astro".
And mind you, Astro was also a hit in Japan even if the model is only available in left-hand drive units! Japanese converters must have found its genuine power and durability to be above the class its "own" brands. So our keychain manufacturers must take note. Maybe a keychain featuring the Chevy logo and the name "Astro" in Japanese script could be a hit in Japan.
The last of the Astro and Safari models came out just before May 14, 2005 - the day when its manufacturers decided to take it out of production. Two years had passed since then; and there are still a good number of people still driving this hardy vehicle. There are many loyal fans for the Chevy Astro.
This reliable vehicle deserves an honor badge. So what are you waiting for? Give your hardworking friends a great gift to make them value their fellowship with their own great, reliable vehicle. It is a perfect gift for birthdays or this coming Christmas season.

2007 Chevrolet Avalanche
2007 Chevrolet Avalanche
by Fei Lim
If you like the Cadillac Escalade but the price is a bit more than you want to spend, you may like the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche. While this vehicle closely resembles the Escalade, the price is definitely a bit more friend, with the Avalanche starting out at around $36,000 and up, depending on the extras you choose. Of course if you want to add the navigation system, a Bose sound system, DVD players, a rear camera, and XM satellite radio, the you will pay closer to $40,000 for the vehicle.
Falling a bit shy of three tons, this vehicle is definitely a large one, and it is no wonder that Chevy's 5.3L V8 engine that boasts 320 hp is rumbling under the hood of this vehicle. So, even though this vehicle is on the heavy side, you still have plenty of power when you need it. A multi point fuel injection system helps to provide you with the best gas mileage possible as well. Usually on the road the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche gets about 15mpg; however, once you start doing some city driving you'll see that figure drop down to between 12-13 mpg.
Although you can't expect this large SUV/truck to handle like a sports car, for the size and weight it handles fairly well. A stabilizing system help to make sure that you do not have a problem when taking curves at a nice clip. With the stabilizer bars and coil springs that are used to improve the handling of the Avalanche, even bumpy roads will not feel to bad. The 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche also has traction control that uses both the engine and ABS system to make sure you don't have problems with traction when driving in the rain or snow and ice.
Taking a look at the exterior of the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche, you will find that it is 221 inches long, which is close to the size of a Chevy Suburban. Part of this length is used as a small truck bed, but the vehicle still has two rows of seats on the inside of the cab that seats up to six adults. If you need a bit more room in the truck bed, you can actually lay down the back seats to add some extra length. The bed of the truck is actually covered with a special plastic that is high friction, which is used to keep things from sliding around in the back, and the bed also sports drainage holes and lockable compartments.
The 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche also provides some luxury on the interior of the cab as well. It comes with beautiful leather seats, and you have the option of having warming seats as well. The front seats are powered, and there is also a duel zone automatic climate control in the vehicle too. For people who need a little help reaching the pedals, the gas and brake pedals are adjustable so you can fit them to your height. You can also choose to have options like a DVD system, rear camera, remote starting, side curtain air bags, or GPS navigation system included if you want to spend a bit of extra money.
Many people were not to thrilled about the old look of the Avalanche, but in 2007, Chevy has stepped up the look of this SUV/truck. The front end of the Avalanche has a new style, with a wrap around grille, smoked headlights, and both the front and rear have been widened as well to give the vehicle a more domineering look. The interior has been improved upon as well, with a nice mesh headliner and a new, stylish dashboard that look great. So, if you were not real fond of the previous Avalanches, the 2007 model probably will be an improvement to you.
Although the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche isn't going to win any drag races, doing a modest 0-60 in 8.5 seconds, for families and people who need room for hauling equipment or people it is a great choice. So, if you are looking at a cheaper alternative to the Escalade, the Avalanche is definitely a great choice of a vehicle. This vehicle combines the best of an SUV and pickup truck into one great vehicle, and whether you are hauling lumber, the kids, or even your boss to the golf course, the Avalanche will get the job done.

For many of us, the car has almost become a second home as more Americans find themselves stuck in traffic over 40 hours a week! Besides doing your best to maintain your mode of transportation, here a few tips in driving safety that should be beneficial:
1. Don't drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. These tend to dull your mind and reflexes. Did you know that alcohol is involved in at least half of all fatal crashes?
2. Keep your mind as well as your eyes exclusively on driving. While driving, don't put on makeup, text message, chat on the cell phone, or eat a meal.
3. Do not get upset when you encounter a hostile driver. There is no doubt you'll be angry if an obnoxious driver cuts you off, plows through a red light or tailgates. However, dangerous situations are not the time to be competitive or combative.
4. Beware of falling asleep at the wheel. This results in over 200,000 accidents per year alone. Driving between midnight and seven in the morning is particularly bad. If you are heading off on a long trip, get plenty of rest the night before, wear comfortable clothing, listen to the radio and make frequent stops. If you are experiencing drowsiness, stop at a hotel or motel and get some sleep.
5. Don't be a ˜yellow-light accelerator or a รข€˜green-light anticipator. Yellow light accelerators speed through an intersection to beat the red light. Green-light anticipators speed up when they think the light is about to change from red to green. A large number of traffic accidents happen at intersections, and many are due to drivers who second-guess signal changes.
6. Steer clear of large vehicles like trucks and trailers. Too often your view is blocked. Carefully work your way around them and stay far away (if possible)
7. Avoid the far left lane except when you need to pass another car. Drivers who like to drive fast usually remain in this lane; insurance company representatives call it the ˜death lane.
8. Observe all basic driving rules and regulations. Adjust your speed to coincide with weather and traffic conditions.
9. Wear your seatbelts. This cannot be emphasized enough.

The New Honda Civic Type-R
by Anthony Fontanelle

The Type-R philosophy will be shaking the European-dominated hot hatc sector, as the company continues to provide more than just cars loaded with quality parts like the Acura CL belts. The sporty concept targets to attract the young and active crowd.
The new Honda Civic Type-R looks far from its Civic four-door siblings. It comes with a bonnet line that flows from the steep sloping front window. There is also a rounded backside that has been adorned with a rear boot fin. The clean lines were designed to help the wind dynamics of the vehicle, though it may hamper the driver's rear vision.
The Type-R philosophy was mainly focused on delivering a driving experience comparable with ones in racing cars. It is intends to make the driver part of the machine through providing high levels of feedback from the vehicle, including sound, steering response and handling.

Changfeng Feibao CT5 2007
Changfeng Feibao CT5 2007
by Fei Lim
When it comes to China and the auto market, one new development straight from China is the 2007 Changfeng Feibao CT5. This concept car, which is basically a 4x4 SUV style vehicle, was debuted at the recent 2007 Detroit Auto Show. Currently the Changfeng company calls themselves the top producer of SUVs in all of China, and this is their new idea when it comes to modern day SUVs. While Changfeng was definitely showing and introducing their new vehicles, this auto show in the United States was more than just a vehicle debut for them. More than that, it was actually an attempt by the company to break into the U.S. market and to become a global player when it comes to vehicle production. The 2007 Changfeng Feibao CT5 appears to be an SUV that also sports a pickup bed wit it as well, along the same concept of the Chevy Avalanche or Cadillac Escalade, while it is a bit smaller than either of those examples. While this is still a concept car, it definitely appears as if this vehicle is still quite a ways away from production, with several interior problems that need a bit of work. The interior of the vehicle boasted shiny gray plastic, so it appears that at this point they are quite far from being anything close to a luxury car; however, they do seem to have some great ideas when it comes to developing a decent car for an economical price.
While the interior of the vehicle appears to need a bit of work yet before it will be ready for production, on the outside the 2007 Changfeng Feibao looks quite nice. It has a polished, curvy look that is sleek and chic, and gets rid of the boxy shape that so many SUVs still tend to have. The front end of the SUV/truck has a very appealing modern look as well, and the headlights also hold some modern appeal as well. When you take a look at the outside, more than likely you are going to be reminded of the Honda Ridgeline, since they look very similar in style. In fact, the two vehicles are almost the same size as well and they both have a cab and bed that are almost the same size.
The engine in the 2007 Changfeng Feibao CT5 appears to be a 3.0 liter V6 engine, which should product plenty of power for this truck/SUV. Rumor has it that the engine that is used is actually a Mistubishi engine. While this engine probably puts out quite a bit of power, with a vehicle of this size, one might wonder if the response will be as great as you would want in an SUV. After all, since it seats five people, you will have the vehicle weight, the weight of the passengers, as well as any cargo you may want to carry as well, which means that V6 engine may not be quite enough for the performance most people want. However, on the positive side, the 3.0 liter V6 engine should provide better fuel economy than many SUVs that have a V8 engine instead.
Although the quality of the 2007 Changfeng Feibao CT5 seems to be lacking a bit, many people seem to think that in the next few years this company is going to step it up and improve upon this concept car. In the past the Chinese have definitely done some quality work when it comes to vehicles, and in all likelihood they can do it again with this vehicle with a bit of work on their part. Not much is known about this vehicle so far; in fact, no price has even been quoted on the vehicle. If they continue to work on this vehicle and develop it, no doubt you will be hearing about this concept car again in the future, and hopefully they will take care of the problems and turn the concept into an affordable SUV that will be available world wide. So, be sure to stay tuned in the future to see what else the Changfeng company may be bringing out and also to see what new developments occur in the Feibao CT5.

Honda Headlights Help Maintain Safety on the Road
Honda Headlights Help Maintain Safety on the Road
by Joseph Then
Honda Civics Headlights Help Prevent Accidents on the Road
Honda headlights are important part of the vehicle. Headlights are important for safety and of course, for some of the drivers, are for the looks. Without the proper headlights, it is hard to see at night and/or in adverse weather conditions. This can be extremely dangerous, not to mention the costly traffic ticket that may be opened to your. Having the proper and working headlights also ensures your safety and at the same time make your Honda looks sleek.
Proper headlights are headlights that provide adequate lighting, are in good working order and fit the car. Proper headlights can ensure you see deer, people or other obstacles that may enter your path. They also ensure approaching vehicles can see you from behind. Without proper headlights it can be very dangerous to drive. That is why there are large fines for drivers operating vehicles that do not meet the states requirements as to proper headlights and taillights.
Fortunately, Honda headlights are very easy to get as they are one of the top cars sellers in the world. There are many places that sell Honda headlights, many for discounted prices. There are also compatibles but I do recommend that you get the original. There are many different designs, so it is helpful when shopping to know your cars model and year. Usually knowing these two pieces of information will make finding the right headlights easy.
Honda headlight should be replaced regularly as needed. If a light is not working or has been damaged then it should be replaced as soon as possible. It is important to replace headlights right away to maintain a safe and legal vehicle.
Honda headlights and taillights serve as a warning to others. They allow your vehicle to be seen even when there is not adequate lighting or good weather conditions. You can avoid damage to your car, damage to other cars and possible horrible accidents involving walkers and animals by using your headlight and taillights. You can save yourself from many accidents by just ensuring your lights are in proper working order.
If you are unable to find your vehicles headlights or taillights in your local auto parts store than you can try a couple other methods. You can do an internet search since many retailers are now selling online. You can also contact Honda or your car dealer for the lights. You should be able to get them there if you can not find them anywhere else.

November Auto Sales Scenario for American and Japanese automakers

November Auto Sales Scenario for American and Japanese automakers
by Anthony Fontanelle
November sales in the American auto industry give hints that car sales will not be good next year and even the coming ten years. Last Monday, as balance sheets have been done reflecting November car production, distribution and sales, automakers announced that there was a two percent industry wide decrease. Major factors to be blamed are troubles in the housing market and the continuously increasing fuel prices.
The Big three automakers of Detroit shall be responsive to the phenomenon. According to General Motors Corp. and Ford Motor Co. they will be cutting the scheduled production in the first quarter of 2008.
Meanwhile, Chrysler LLC with its new owner plans to make a weekly review of their production plans every week to combat 2008's bad sales premonitions. รข€ลWe are feeling it in our automotive business,- Chrysler's vice president of sales Darryl Jackson said in a teleconference with media and analysts.
Although the year has not reached its end yet, analysts predict that if vehicle sales continue as it is, 2007 will have a total of 16.2 million vehicle sales. Compared to analyst's forecast for 2008, this number is quite healthy. According to George Pipas, top analyst at Ford Motor Co., 2008 car sales could dramatically fall to 15.5 million vehicles only from January until June of next year. Pipas' prediction however did not convince Aaron Bragman, an analyst at Global Insight, Bragman says it may be lower than that. รข€ลWe'll see what happens, but thus far it's not looking like a very positive sales year next year,- Bragman said.
Some highlights for November include huge increases at the subcompact segment led by the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa and the Chevrolet Aveo. Crossovers also gained sales increase. The sales of Japanese automakers Nissan Motor Co. and Honda Motor Co. were boosted by their small cars and their remodeled sedans.
รข€ลRising fuel prices and sliding home values delivered a one-two punch this month,- Jim Lentz, president of Toyota's U.S. sales arm, said in a statement. รข€ลBut the industry's not down for the count. Demand for fresh, more fuel-efficient products continues to show strength.-
In general, falling demands for trucks greatly damaged the auto industry. The truck sales fall was due to decrease in home constructions in America. According to data from Autodata Corp., there was a total of seven percent decrease in sport utility vehicle and truck sales for November.
For November, even thou GM still has the biggest auto sales in America, the automaker posted an 11 percent sales decrease for the month while Chrysler LLC dropped by two percent. Toyota Motor Corp. and Ford Motor Co. announced that they have flat sales. Good fate was for Honda Motor Co. along with its Acura division (maker of genuine Acura accessories like Acura car cover) with five percent sales increase and Nissan Motor Co. with six percent sales boost.

Alternative Energy Group Advocates Use Of Wind Power
Alternative Energy Group Advocates Use Of Wind Power
by Anthony Fontanelle
As the crucial voting for energy legislation draws nearer, the American Wind Energy Association or AWEA will be taking a majors step towards advocating the use of wind power for energy consumption. The said group will launch a massive ad campaign today. The said ads are aimed towards supporting the move to have a renewable electricity standard or RES. The advocacy campaign will invade different mediums from TV commercials to print ads.
"The ad campaign is part of a broader effort to focus attention on this crucial referendum on American energy policy," said Gregory Wetstone, director of Government and Public Affairs of AWEA. "We believe that greater public awareness will translate into more Congressional support for renewable energy sources like wind and solar power, which are overwhelmingly popular, but face well-financed opposition," he added.
The RES being debated on widely is a mechanism which is based on the market. The RES calls for a fixed portion of the country's source of electricity to be produced using renewable resources. Today, 25 states have already enacted renewable energy standards. But experts agree that a national RES will be much more beneficial.
This week, the House of Representative will decide on the matter. This issue is being targeted early on because of the increasing awareness to the threat of global warming.
There have been studies conducted to find out the benefits of an RES. According to results of these studies, an RES in place will slow down global warming. With renewable energy sources being tapped, less petroleum fuel will be burned. That translates to less greenhouse gases. This move will be beneficial in the future as automakers are now experimenting with vehicles which run on electricity alone. Automobiles like the Acura CL compressor -equipped luxury car are considered as one of the biggest producers of harmful greenhouse gases.
Another benefit of an RES is that it creates jobs. According to a study conducted by the Union of Concerned Scientists, an RES will help create about 185,000 American jobs. Wind and solar energy are expected to be the biggest source of alternative energy. With a national RES, these industries will experience a boom thus creating jobs for Americans.
Studies also reported that an RES would "revitalize rural America". According to the studies, rural land owners will be able to take about $3,000 to $8,000 per turbine annually while still being able to work their land. These benefits will be deliberated for sure before the House of Representatives decide on the issue.

Honda Posts Increased Sale
Honda Posts Increased Sale
by Anthony Fontanelle
The American arm of Japanese automaker Honda recently disclosed to the public their sales record for the month of November. According to the automaker, they have sold 111,431 units of Honda and Acura vehicles. That marked an increase of 4.7 percent compared to the company's sales record for November of last year when they sold 106,446 vehicles.
With the American dollar falling against the Euro and the Canadian dollar, consumers are slowly reducing in number. But Honda's performance in marketing their vehicles shows that they are in a position to deliver vehicles that consumers are looking for. Dick Colliver, the executive vice president of American Honda, had this to say according to The Auto Channel: "Even In these uncertain times, our bread-and-butter products are showing real growth. The all-new Accord continues to set a blistering pace with sales up by more than 25 percent."
For years, the Honda Accord has been well received by consumers because of its reliability. The Japanese automaker also manufactures luxury vehicles under the Acura brand. Although Acura is yet to match Lexus in terms of popularity among luxury car buyers, the brand is slowly becoming a favorite among consumers. But last month saw another dismal period for Acura as they posted a decrease of 24.9 percent compared to November 2006. Last month, the Japanese luxury brand sold 12,910 units of cars and light trucks while last year, for the same month, the company has sold 17,200 units.
The Acura division may have experienced reduced sales for November but some of their models showed increased in sales. The luxury division reported that they have already sold 52,700 units of the award-winning Acura ball joint -equipped Acura MDX from January to November this year. That figure is 9.6 percent better than their January to November sales last year of 47,894 units.
Meanwhile, for the Honda division, several models apart from the Accord have helped the automaker set an increased sales record for November. The Honda CR-V is one of them with sales up by 1.6 percent compared to November 2006 sales. The Honda Fit is the biggest gainer with an increase of 106.0 percent. 5,361 units of the award-winning Fit were sold last month. According to the automaker, the Civic and the Civic Hybrid both posted an increase in sales. The Japanese automaker reported that they have sold 24.8 percent more Civic units last month compared to the same period last year. The Civic Hybrid on the other hand increased by 46.6 percent.

Toyota Camry Parts Offer Only The Best
Toyota Camry Parts Offer Only The Best
by Glady Reign
Car companies constantly bring wonders to the world with all the advancements they introduce to eager car owners who want nothing but improvement for their vehicles. One of the largest automakers in the world, Toyota Motor Corporation offers vehicles that are made up of reliable parts designed for heavy-duty applications. One of its most popular models and also one of the bestselling cars in automobile history is the Toyota Camry, which was first sold at the United States in 1983. Aside from comprising America's bestselling car, the assembly of Toyota Camry parts also became the basis for the luxury vehicle Lexus ES300, for the full-size highway cruiser Toyota Avalon, and for the two-door Toyota Solara convertible and coupe.
With its 102 inch wheelbase, the Toyota Camry was relatively huge for a Japanese car. During the time it was introduced, its four-cylinder engine, which produced 92 horsepower, was considerably powerful. It was equipped with five-speed manual transmission or an automatic one and its engine produce a high-pitched sound when revved. People can easily dismiss the capability of Toyota Camry parts, which sported the limited 92 horsepower, but the car can actually outrace bigger and heavier models. Its unbeatable comfort, sound insulation, gas mileage, and reliability are what made the Camry a bestseller.
In a while since its introduction, a second American factory was subsequently built in Georgetown, Kentucky, which became Toyota's first non-union plant as well as their first plant to be built independently. The first generation Toyota Camry parts assembly which featured a single fuel-injected 2 Liter engine lasted for only four years. With the 115 horsepower boasted by the redesign in 1987, together with reduced noise and vibration and many other developments in the succeeding models in the automobile series, the Toyota Camry became even more popular. Today, it bears the distinction of having been listed by USA Today as one of the cars that made the most significant impact in the American market from 1975 to 2000.
Very recently, Motor Trend awarded the 2007 Camry as Car of the Year'a distinction that only attests to the enduring quality of this car which, as Motor Trend says,Toyota's rivals wish they could build.

Toyota Corolla Parts and the Success of Its Overall Package
Toyota Corolla Parts and the Success of Its Overall Package
by Glady Reign
In the current American product inventory of Toyota, one of the worlds largest automakers, the Corolla model is the oldest. Aside from being the first car that Toyota manufactured in the United States, with over 30 million Corolla units sold worldwide, it is also the most popular among the companys car lines. It is only a small family car, but it has enjoyed worldwide popularity because of the reliability of Toyota Corolla parts and their exceptional engineering that solidified the conventions in automobile manufacture. Its standard components and the Toyota Corolla parts accessories that go with the basic assembly are manufactured not only in the United States but in around 140 countries all over the globeรข€"including Canada, India, South Africa, Brazil, Turkey, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. The company now offers the tenth generation of the renowned make, and statistical data says that a new Toyota Corolla gets purchased every 23.2 seconds.
When it was introduced in the United States in 1968, two years after its debut in Japan, the Corolla was marketed as a convenient combination of quality, style, and affordability. After a couple of years, the car ranked as the second bestselling imported automobile in America. Consistent with the designs of the companys other sedans, the Toyota Corolla Parts are assembled to form a higher trunk line and a relatively long wheel base compared to other compact cars. The Toyota Corolla parts accessories like the headlights and tail lights are shaped to match the cars smooth curves.
The Corolla has had a number of rebadged versions like the Australian Holden Nova of the 1980s and the American Geo Prism. What remains the same, however, is the distinct quality of the various Toyota Corolla parts that have endured the test of time through continuous remodeling. If one were to point out the particular reason for the success of this car, one can only wonder and realize that it is, as how it was marketed back in 1968, really in the whole package. As it is even enhanced with the most elegant Toyota Corolla parts accessories, one cannot but understand the Corollas astonishing sales.

Real Japanese Car Ingenuity
Real Japanese Car Ingenuity
by Glady Reign
The automobile industry has seen the rise of many nations in the arena of car making. This includes Japan, which has the largest car company to this day in terms of revenue---the Toyota Motor Corporation. The company became the top gun of Asia at a time when the rest of the world, particularly the US and Europe, were battling against each other for supremacy in the car industry . Its existence since the 1930s has helped Toyota gain the experience and expertise to create high-quality Toyota body parts for the premium performance of a car. Thus the first Toyota car was born, the Toyota Model AA. It was complete with all the vital car systems during the period it was manufactured.
The exteriors of a Toyota are considered notable due to the Toyota body parts that are all constantly streamlined to enhance a Toyota's aerodynamic performance. From the car door handle, fenders and bumpers, grilles and hoods to the chassis---Toyota has ensured that their form and efficiency will not only be beneficial to the vehicle, but to both the driver and passengers as well. This basic philosophy of making a Toyota vehicle purely reflects the Japanese culture. While Toyota cars echo simplicity, they also emphasize the fashionable design of classic style. They also often drop hints of exciting developments, as Toyota on its own has always pioneered the latest breakthroughs in car technology.
The Toyota body parts vary according to the different body styles of every manufactured vehicle. Whether the body style is a sedan, coupe or SUV, a Toyota's bodywork can provide the needed protection for internal car parts that directly affect the car's performance. For instance, the most significant Toyota body part is the chassis. It serves as the main framework upon which the whole body is actually built on. This helps to preserve the integral structure of the vehicle. Other body parts like the door handles are tasked to make the occupants' access to the vehicle easier. They also offer the simplest solution for the safety of the passengers. On the other hand, the streamlining of the vehicles is determined by the fenders because their shape is crafted specifically to harness the power of the wind against the capacity of the engine. Toyota has also made its contribution to the racing world. Its representative cars were adorned with fenders and fender skirts, and the bumpers, shaped to attain the car's speed.
The Toyota body parts have been widely credited for the people's continuous appreciation of their Toyota vehicles. Indeed they are a testament to how the Japanese ingenuity can do wonders in the car industry.

2007 Cadillac CTS
2007 Cadillac CTS
by Fei Lim
Thanks to its appearance in the Matrix movies, the Cadillac CTS has achieved a great deal of attention and admiration for being a vehicle that's fast, sleek and hot and its no wonder. The 2007 model of this midsize luxury car has proven to be reliable and appealing to a wide variety of audiences and it can be seen that this car is turning into one of General Motor's classics. With a slightly larger size than other luxury cars in the same class, it provides hefty competition in the realm of price and design. This car has turned heads all over the world and at the moment is the only real American competition to Japanese and European cars in a similar class.
The 2007 Cadillac CTS has a a sharp, highly modern style that is called "Art and Science" by Cadillac and in many ways, this car spells a new era for the brand. Formerly known for producing reliable, if stodgy vehicles, Cadillac burst on the scene in 2003 with the so-called first generation of the Cadillac CTS. With it's sleek attractive good looks and wealth of features, its easy to see why the car made the splash that it did. Several of the Cadillac trademarks, like the grille and the distinctive exterior lighting, have been updated on the Cadillac CTS and the differences between the older models and this newest offering have never been more apparent than in the CTS's cleanly lined body.
Far from being more unstable or more fragile, the Cadillac CTS utilizes the rear wheel drive found on the General Moters Sigma platform, and has proven to be extraordinarily stable and safe. In 2002, the Cadillac CTS made the running for the North American car of the Year. In terms of versatility and compatibility with a wide range of drivers, this is the first car offered by Cadillac to have manual transmission since 1988. The interior of the car has also proven more roomy than other entry-level luxury cars, providing the owner with a roomier ride.
Though the 2007 Cadillac CTS has all of the features that luxury car owners have come to expect, one of its true delights lie in the optional features. When a customer is upgraded to the Luxury Package, for instance, he will enjoy heated seats and an excellent audio system. The highly modern exterior of the car contrast strongly with the use of rich materials in the interior. Carefully selected simulated wood surfaces are used to accent the steering wheel, shifter knob and door pulls, giving this high-tech marvel a warm and traditional look. Also keep in mind the two sports-themed packages, which offer bigger tires and an increased stability control.
Though the entire line of Cadillac CTS cars has been impressive, the 2007 model continues to improve with a wide variety of colors and features that have been added. The 2007 is now available in Thunder Gray, Gold Mist and Sunset Blue, not to mention the addition of 17 inch high-polished aluminum wheels and the new UBS audio system feature.
In terms of engines and power, the 2007 Cadillac CTS has two different engines to offer the prospective buyer. The first is a 210-horsepower 2.8 liter V6 and the second, more powerful choice is a 255-horsepower 3.6 liter V6. While as mentioned above, either of these engines can be fitted with a six speed manual transmission or the preferable five speed automatic transmission. Though a bit rarer, it is also possible to get a 2007 Cadillac CTS that has been fitted with a V8 engine.
One of the many reasons for the Cadillac CTS's popularity is its appearance in the film, The Matrix Reloaded. General Motors suggested the use of the Cadillac CTS or the Escalade and the creators of the Matrix chose the former. The Cadillac CTS made a terrific choice for the movie, as it both fit into the film's innovative look and could handle the rigorous demands of the shooting and production schedule. Ten Cadillac CTS vehicles were used in the film, each with a different degree of damage involved.
There are plenty of reasons to look into the 2007 Cadillac CTS. Its sleek good looks, excellent handling and wide variety of features all make it an extremely desirable car to own, so take a good look at one today!

Toyota Celica Parts: The Key to Heavenly Performance
Toyota Celica Parts: The Key to Heavenly Performance
by Glady Reign
The Toyota Celica derived its name from the Spanish word รข€ลcalico,รข€ which means "from the heavens" or "celestial." Just like other Toyota vehicles, Toyota Celica is well-acclaimed for its reliability on the road brought by its durable Toyota Celica parts and useful Toyota Celica parts accessories. Intended for motorists who feel youthful, love fun, and adore style, the Toyota Celica has proven to be more than just a basic means of transportation. After years of planning for the vehicleรข€™s development that began as early as 1967, the Toyota Celica was finally rolled out for public consumption in 1971. It was modeled after the EX-1 "Car of the Future,รข€ thus it exuded style that was considered radical at the time of its production. Its significance even extended to the launch of the sporty subcompact market segment.
Offered only in ST form and as a two-door sport-coupe, the Celica was aimed to be an image car instead of a high-volume car. If truth be known, it was actually Toyota's version of the Mustang. The first Celica was geared with a carbureted four-cylinder engine displacing 1.6 liters. It performed well in the market with its first major change taking place in 1974 in the form of the GT. This model featured a two-liter engine, which had been behind Celicaรข€™s powerful performance for the next 11 years. Succeeding Celica generations revolved around Toyota's inline-4 engines, although some were operated by 4-cylinders. Despite providing lower performance, they were more economical. In 1986, the car's drive layout was modified from rear wheel drive to front wheel drive, becoming the most important element that shaped Celicaรข€™s history. The first three generations witnessed Celicas in the US market being driven by the different versions of Toyota's R series engines. From 1986 to 1999, a four-wheel drive turbocharged model, labeled as รข€ลAll-tracรข€ in the US or รข€ลGT-Fourรข€ in Japan and Europe, was manufactured. Late 1997 Japanese models showcased the Variable Valve Timing, which became standard in all 2000 models and onwards.
Seven generations have come and gone with the model undertaking a number of revisions and design forks. This included the Toyota Celica Supra, which was to be known later on as the Toyota Supra. The presence of Celica was experienced in the forms of the notchback, liftback coupe, and convertible. In 1998, however, rumors circulated that the Toyota Celica would soon vanish from the Toyota lineup. While the MR2 and Supra were withdrawn from Japan, the current model of the Celica had not undergone any redesign since 1993. So Toyota decided to completely revamp the Celica to give the market what it was looking for. From being a sporty or luxury car, the Toyota Celica is now presented as the รข€ลExtreme, Young and Racyรข€ vehicle. It promises to deliver powerful performance at a very reasonable price.
The car would not have lasted seven generations without the help of Toyota's constant innovations on its parts and accessories. Toyota Celica parts and accessories are the main product of Toyotaรข€™s technical expertise in building cars of superior engineering. These highly advanced features of top class design have placed Toyota Celica among the best in the car industry. Finding Toyota Celica replacement parts is as easy as pie with hundreds of online stores to choose from. This is also true for installing Toyota Celica parts accessories that are readily available at present. Replacing damaged Toyota Celica parts may require the help of a professional mechanic. However, with a handy repair manual and the right tools, this can also be done at home.

VW Touran - All In Its Stride
VW Touran - All In Its Stride
by R Auchterlonie
Hands up who thought 7 Up was a drink? We did too until it took on a completely new meaning, thanks to a compact VW people carrier and a willing bunch of volunteers...
VW's latest version of the Touran arrived in the car park with the obligatory press pack detailing the fact this was the 1.4 litre SE TSI model (£18,250 on the road). 1.4? Surely not. After all, there are seven seats in there. A run down to Stansted (with six empty seats) for an early morning flight served to show what a relaxing car the Touran can be on a motorway trip. No undue road or engine noise, the little 1.4 TSI slipping along effortlessly, belying its sheer lack of cubic centimetres.
Cross country on the way back it didn't let itself down either, having enough zip to get past the lorries stuck steadfastly at 40mph while others were forced to follow in line astern, fingers drumming on the steering wheel in frustration. But that was in single user mode. What, we wondered, would it be like with the full complement of seven seats filled? We picked carefully from the office. Two more petite members of staff for the rear two seats, a couple of lads eager to leave the computer screen for a five minute break and a couple of lardy boys for good measure. And a six foot five inch driver for good measure. Did it falter? Not a bit, to be fair. It had that fully loaded feel to it, but it pulled capably in all the gears and gave the impression there was more there if needed.
It's the engine lettering that gives the game away. TSI means it has an engine driven supercharger as well as an exhaust gas turbocharger. The supercharger works at lower engine speeds with the turbo kicking in as engine speed increases. The end result is excellent driveability and good performance throughout the range. Torque (pulling power) is always good and there's no discernible turbo lag to impede progress. It means you can have a relatively small engine like this that will give good fuel efficiency through its high gearing, especially when you're cruising at motorway speeds and its not having to work too hard at all. Its combined fuel consumption figure is quoted as 38.2mpg. My best was an indicated 34.6. Its power output is given at 140PS at 5600rpm, and the torque figure of 162lb/ft is there from 1500 to 4000rpm, so it is well able to keep up with the flow of traffic.
The styling is surprisingly neat given its shape. Square at the back but in a stylish way, everything inside is pure Volkswagen, from that classic blue backlighting of the instrumentation to the overall fit and finish. I usually prefer to sit low in a car but in something like this it's no hardship to be a bit higher as the view of the instruments can be compromised. And as it's a taller vehicle it helps to give a more commanding view of the road. On which its composure is exemplary.
What a deceptively good car. I like the neat way the rear seat belts for the sixth and seventh seats, and the centre one in the middle row, stow up in the roof well out of the way, as well as the fact it's a really user friendly vehicle. The seats are easy to tip when you need access to the rear, and the back pair can be quickly folded flat when you need a bit more carrying capacity.
This version of the Touran has been on sale since January and like its predecessor, offers pretty good value for money through a good level of standard equipment, decent engines and a flexible outlook on life.
Take your pick from three variants - S, SE and Sport - all of which have alloy wheels, air con, a CD player, and remote centre locking. Touran has always been acknowledged for its safety features and the new model has front, side and head airbags as well as ABS and ESP. There's also a new counter steering feature which improves stability under braking and can actually reduce stopping distances by up to 10 per cent.

Chevrolet Astro Key chain - Small Yet Precious To Own

Chevrolet Astro Key chain - Small Yet Precious To Own
by Kathy Austin
The best part of the V8 engine used by Chevy Astro is that it has been able to give H.P. output more than any other engine of that size. Similarly, the Chevrolet Astro key chain has been able to serve more than its worth. This was something, which people found hard to believe. The engineering of these key chains manufactured by this company is quiet solid and hence reliable. The reason it has been able to survive for so many years is in the plain truth that it's a company, you can trust.
It makes high range cars as well as low budget cars, so the rich can buy the high range ones while a middle-class person can also afford a Chevrolet in the low-budget range. Similarly, one can get high budgeted key chains and also the low budgeted ones. This helps the people to choose according to their budget and taste.
The secret behind this company's success is its reliability, since it is following the footsteps of its founders, who always felt 'Not to compromise quality under any circumstances.' The list of type of key chains is long and never ending, as they keep updating it with the latest likes of the customers. This company conducts survey to understand the needs, wants, likes and dislikes of the customers, so that they can satisfy their needs and retains them, apart from increasing the number of customers and sales.
The Astro Key Chain Is a Small Thing But A Precious Article To Possess
The Chevrolet Astro Keychains is a prestigious accessory to possess inspite of it's small size. People are just crazy of this key chain and the price is also just right. The symbol of the brand is of course there on the car, but nowadays people want it engraved on their key chains too.
Since a youngster can also afford it, there are many dealers selling them in wholesale and in retail price! Wholesale sellers are apt for people, who buy key chains in bulk. Moreover, these wholesale sellers do not encourage the buyers purchasing just 1-2 key chains. Just like caterers undertaking the party orders, few dealers undertake customizing orders. You can exhibit your feelings about the other person through many articles or greeting cards also; however, doing it using the customized key chains would be novelty.
You can have your favorite verses engraved on these key chains. Sometimes, these key chains give comfort and act like friends. These can keep you going even when you do not have any to speak to, or when you are down. So, aren't these multipurpose key chains? Why wait? Grab them from the nearest shop.

Attention Acura CL Keychain Collectors
Attention Acura CL Keychain Collectors
by Kathy Austin
Everyone knows that as soon as an item is no longer being made, its value rapidly ascends to the stratosphere. Well the stainless steel engraved Acura CL Keychains is a sure bet to be a valuable part of anyone's collection, now that the Acura CL is no longer being manufactured by Honda. Whether you chose the teardrop shape, or the valet pull-apart model or the steering wheel keychain, you will soon discover that you are the proud owner of this 'must have' item.
The Acura CL was manufactured from 1997-1999 and from 2001-2003 in Honda's Marysville, Ohio factory and was thought to be a replacement for the Acura Legend Coupe. The 1997 Acura CL started, in 1997, by offering a choice between a 200 horsepower and a 145 horsepower engine. Similarly, you can get lot of choice in the Acura CL key chains, in terms of quality, material used, finish, designs and many more.
As often happens with a new design, problems crop up. In the case of the CL, it was the simple. You get warranty for the key chains you purchase through a dealer. Even few websites offer discounts.
Honda has concentrated on excellence in engineering however, and that fact is the main reason they have gone from zero to a major industry player in just 2 decades. Besides engineering excellence, Honda has developed key chains that lean heavily on environmental awareness. Quality materials are used for producing high quality key chains.
Though there were not many designs available in these accessories, if you are a person, who adores simplicity, you would surely adore these key chains. These can be given as gifts to express your feelings in a simpler way.
A small number of the Acura CLs were built (a total of 3,511) and after 2003, the CL's sister car, the TL, which has the same manual transmission, was slipped into the product line in its place, due to the decline in sales of this car. Similarly, these key chains were completely replaced by its successors. Moreover, customers chose key chains that were predecessors of this model, but were not very keen on this model.
In spite of less popularity among the key chains, many dealers offered to get the customers the customized ones. One could engrave his or her name or any good liners or teasers on these articles and present them to your friends. Moreover, few companies chose these articles as promotional items also.
One can search for these key chains in the online catalogs that are open throughout the year. Most of the online catalogs are not updated regularly and your search or trial to purchase ends up in vain. Make sure to search for the models of these items on the search engines to find the websites selling them still.

Formula BMW: Hylkema's Next Career Step

Formula BMW: Hylkema's Next Career Step
by Anthony Fontanelle
A month from now, a young racer named Thomas Hylkema will make his official debut in the German Formula BMW championship at the street circuit of the Norisring. Hylkema will be part of the Eifelland Racing squad this season. The team has already completed its driver lineup after signing up the young racer.
Next to the Dutchman, BMW Sauber will field cars for Daniel Campos, Jens Klingmann and Tiago Geronimi. As part of his preparations, the protรฉgรฉ of racing driver Phil Bastiaans completed a lot tests in the Formula BMW and he is eager to make the next step in his early racing career. Monday, Hylkema got through a successful test day at the Belgian Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
In 2003, Hylkema started his racing career in a kart. A year after, he competed in the Vortex Rok. In 2005, he raced for Martijn Koene. Hylkema twice finished on the fifth place in the final championship standings. Last year, he moved to the Benelux Racing League Light and drove for the Collรฉ Rental & Sales Racing Team.
Hylkema wanted to make the next step in his career and Formula BMW seemed to be the best choice. This is because most of the races are held as support races at the DTM, WTCC and Formula 1 weekends. Hylkema, at the Delft University of Technology, won the race at the Nรผrburgring and started from pole position once at Zolder. In this series he met the experienced Phil Bastiaans. The two established good friendship and camaraderie that bonded them to their passion - racing.
Bastiaans and Hylkema went to the DELL Formula BMW World Final at Valencia in Spain where the best 36 drivers of four different Formula BMW championships rivaled to bag the 'World Champion Formula BMW" title. After several talks with Eifelland Racing, Hylkema was invited for a test with the team.
"Formula BMW is a world wide renowned feeder series for young talented racing drivers. Drivers like Ralf Schumacher, Christian Klien, Nico Rosberg and more recently Sebastian Vettel found their way into F1 via the Formula BMW. Because all the races are driven during the Formula 1, WTCC and DTM weekends, the series is also sure of broad media attention," said Hylkema.
He added, "The use of identical cars, engines, tyres and fuel for all competitors makes sure that the driver is the most important factor in this championship. It is an ideal opportunity for me to start in this series. I am now with an excellent team and have a highly experienced team owner that wants to teach me everything I need to know. After a decent preparation in which I got to know several different sorts of tracks, I am now really looking forward to finally make my debut in a Formula BMW at the Norisring!"
The Formula BMW car is powered by a powerful four cylinder/16 valve engine and is equipped with a Formula 3 sequential gearbox mated to the BMW CV boot.

Tips for Used Car Shoppers
Tips for Used Car Shoppers
by Greg Chapman
Shopping for a used car may seem like an insurmountable task, but it does not have to be. The following tips will help you purchase the right car, arrange a payment plan you can afford and establish a business relationship with a trustworthy and respectable used car dealer.
▪Research dealerships before you shop. This may involve an internet search for used car dealers in your city as well as phone conversations with reputable candidates. Finding a used car dealership with true in-house financing who reports to the credit bureau will benefit you beyond the joy of driving your new used vehicle. In house financing means that rather than outsourcing to a bank, the dealer is your lender. This type of loan can prevent the damage that could be caused by having a major bank make multiple inquiries on your credit. Make sure your lender reports to a credit bureau, which will allow you to improve your credit score as you make timely payments on your loan.
▪Know how much to spend. Realistically analyze your budget and determine how much you can afford to spend for a monthly payment. Do not push your payment to the maximum, as you may have increases in insurance payments to consider as well. Use the internet to obtain the generalized resale value of any used car you are considering, which will give you a good idea of a fair price before you start any pricing discussion at the dealership.
▪Do your homework. You likely have a few ideas in mind for the type of car you are seeking. Research how certain makes and models stack up against competitors and read accounts of owners' experiences with certain vehicles on the internet and in consumer journals. Develop an educated opinion about the benefits and shortfalls of different vehicles, and evaluate them against your personal vehicle requirements.
▪Perform a background check. Thanks to CARFAX, consumers can now find out the history of a particular vehicle and avoid purchasing one with hidden problems. Reputable dealerships will provide a CARFAX report to potential buyers on all of their vehicles at no cost. But you can obtain a report on any vehicle yourself for a fee if necessary. The CARFAX report will advise you whether a car has been salvaged, flooded, seriously wrecked, used as a rental, or stolen among other things.
▪Get a second opinion. Even highly praised vehicles with a reported perfect history can have problems under the hood, and you never know why previous owners replaced them. Before finalizing your purchase, have the car lifted and inspected by a trusted mechanic who can advise you about problems the car may have. If a car requires major repair and you feel the dealer has concealed important information from you, take the hint and take your business elsewhere.
When shopping for a used car, seeking instant gratification may translate to settling for a vehicle that will not provide you with enduring satisfaction. Remember that a car is a long term investment and you must consider your long term intentions when making the purchase. Take your time, and use common sense about the background of the vehicle you want and the dealership you are working with. Whether you find the perfect vehicle on your first try or spend months searching, the ultimate goal is to end up with a reliable vehicle you love and a financial situation you can manage for the long haul.

Reasons to Buy a Pre-Owned Mercedes Benz
Reasons to Buy a Pre-Owned Mercedes Benz
by Dana Stephens
Now you've decided that you're financially in a position to upgrade your Merc, you need to consider your options. Do you go for a new car, or a pre-owned one? Although the thought of driving a brand new vehicle off the dealership lot is tempting, there are a number of reasons for purchasing a pre-owned Mercedes Benz instead.
The first reason is cost. It's not just that an older car costs less than a new car, but it's more about the depreciation value. The moment any brand new car is driven off the dealership lot, its value sinks dramatically! If your purchase is a pre-owned Mercedes Benz, then that initial depreciation value is already taken care of. New cars depreciate fast and the first two years will see the biggest amount of depreciation value on your vehicle. Buying a pre-owned car that's about 2-3 years old means that your "new" Mercedes is going to be holding its value more steadily over the next few years.
The next reason is that the "cricks" have been all found and corrected! Many new cars leave the factory with flaws of some kind or another. Over the first few months, there are teething problems as these are identified and then fixed. Even if your vehicle is covered by a substantial warranty, you're still going to have the inconvenience of having to take the car to be modified - and perhaps either being without a vehicle or having to use a substitute vehicle provided by the dealership in the interim. Purchasing a pre-owned Mercedes Benz means that you're buying a car in a good state of repair.
If you purchase a pre-owned car of only a few years old, and you buy it as a ex-rental or ex-lease car, then it's probably going to have relatively low mileage. In the case of an ex-rental vehicle, this also means that it should have a good standard of repair as these cars must be in good condition in order to be rented out. As rental companies, as well as those who lease their vehicles only keep their fleet a few years before renewing it, buying from them means that you're going to get a car that's not new, but the condition ought to be "like new".
The last main reason for buying a pre-owned Mercedes Benz is the certified program that some owners put their cars into. This means that you are sure to be getting a car that is in excellent condition. It will have be thoroughly checked out and serviced so that even if the extended warranty has expired, you still have some assurance that nothing major is going to go wrong with the car in the immediate future. It's even possible to find a pre-owned vehicle that has extended warranty options and incentives.
Despite the fact that the "newness" shine has probably rubbed off the car, buying a pre-owned Mercedes Benz not only means that you are not paying 10% of the purchase price just to drive it home from the dealership because of initial depreciation. It also means that if a new car was within your budget, you can consider a more up-market model instead, or one that has more features than you could have afforded purchasing the car new!

The ride is smooth, the acceleration quick, and overall it's a comfortable top of the line car. Even the stock sound system that comes with a BWM is pretty nice. Unfortunately, the system does not come with one of the most vital parts of good sound, which is a sub woofer. Sub woofers are meant to give depth and complete the spectrum of sound in a stereo. The BMW product line has a wide variety of sub woofers, car amplifiers, and custom speaker boxes to choose from for your car.
Custom speaker boxes are specifically designed to fit your model of BMW. Therefore, you'll be able to install your car amplifier and sub woofer without taking up too much space, and without tearing up your interior. Instead, custom speaker boxes will blend with the interior of your BMW so that it looks like part of the original car. When choosing a fiberglass speaker box for your new system you'll not only be getting the highest quality material producing the best sound possible, but you'll get a light weight box that won't add pounds on to your BMW. Custom speaker boxes work by preventing the out of phase waves from the rear from mixing with the in phase waves of the front. Therefore, when installed properly there is no resonance and a crystal clear sound can be heard from all spectrums.
The BMW speaker box product line includes a top of the line Bassforms fiberglass speaker box for the BMW 3 series, BMW 5 series, BMW 6 series, and BMW 7 series. Hook up your Honda with a Fiberglass Subwoofer Enclosure
Hook up your Honda with a Fiberglass Subwoofer Enclosure
by Mark Markham
The fact is that whether you are driving a Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Honda Element, Honda S2000, or any type of Honda for that matter, you are going to be driving it for a while. Honda engines are known to last forever, and if you take care of your Honda well then it might even last longer than you. Since you'll be driving that Honda Accord or Honda Civic of yours for a while, you might as well invest a little into the interior of the car.
Regrettably, the sound systems in Honda's do not quite match up to the quality of the engine. Sure, the system will last long, but it won't give you the bass that you want for listening to your favorite tunes while rolling down the road. Car subwoofers are a great addition to any type of Honda, and the perfect solution to getting great bass. Audio dealers carry top name brand car subwoofers that they can recommend for your specific model of Honda, and car amplifiers that will get the best sound out of the car subwoofers. Installing car amplifiers and car subwoofers will make the most out of your stereo system so that you can fully enjoy your Honda for as long as it lasts.
Some sort of speaker box or fiberglass subwoofer enclosure should be purchased as well when installing car amplifiers and car subwoofers. A speaker box will perform several vital tasks for your new system. Since Honda Accords and Civics tend to be somewhat smaller when it comes to space, a speaker box will cut down on the space that car amplifiers and car subwoofers take up. Thus, the speaker box will keep your new system safe, and out of the way. Professionally designed speaker boxes are built for your specific model of Honda, so that it will blend in with the car.
A speaker box or fiberglass subwoofer enclosures will also prevent resonation from the car subwoofers, which gives it the best sound it can possibly have. Professional audio companies have top of the line products for your specific model of Honda including Bassforms fiberglass subwoofer enclosures and MTX Thunderform speaker boxes for your Honda Accord. For your Honda Civic, aBassforms fiberglass subwoofer enclosure or a MTX Thunderform speaker box will work out great as well.

Bringing a new Toyota home is like a adding a new member to the family. Endless hours will be spent in it getting you where you need to be. Since you'll be spending a good amount of time driving around in your Toyota, you should be able to enjoy it to its fullest. Adding some sort of sound system to your truck or SUV will certainly help you to enjoy your trips to various places in life. After all, there is nothing worse than having to spend countless moments in your Toyota with a sound system that just isn't up to par. Sure, the stock system that comes with a Toyota Tacoma or Toyota Tundra is decent or maybe even more than decent if you decided to go with the premium stock system, but there is always going to be something missing. What's missing is the low end of your favorite tunes, or the bass that gives you that nice boom you can feel in your chest while cruising down the highway.

They not only save space in the little amount of room in your truck that there is, but custom sub boxes are designed for your specific model of Toyota so that they'll blend into the interior. This looks as if it's part of the original truck or SUV, and thwarts of any potential theft of your brand new system. Custom sub boxes do more than just save space and blend in though; they also produce the best quality sound possible from your sub woofer and amp. A high quality subwoofer enclosure will prevent resonation from the amp and subwoofer, while also preventing the out of phase waves of the rear from mixing with in phase waves of the front. Therefore, a subwoofer enclosure will ultimately allow you to hear the nice bass tones from the back end while still clearly resonating the high and middle notes of the front. Thus, your system will be giving off a full and deep overall sound with any type of music.
Audio manufacturers offer an extensive product line including a variety of subwoofer enclosures, amps and sub woofers for your specific Toyota. They have particular products for the Toyota Tacoma ranging from all types of custom sub boxes, as well as specific products for the Toyota Tundra, Toyota T-100 and Toyota SUV.
